Bought this to round out tools for a water heater replacement. My existing pipe wrench was too large and was overkill. This was perfect for the task (black gas pipe) and general home plumbing repairs in future. Solid rugged construction will last for life.

Great tool.made the job easy

Lighter than the average wrench. Has a larger grip area than most.

This was my first monkey wrench purchase. I researched on the Home Depot web site for one meeting my size needs. I also liked that it has replaceable jaws, though I doubt it will get that much use. It outperformed my expectations. I can honestly recommend this wrench.

The Milwaukee 14″ steel pipe wrench is a great tool with good value. The wrench is designed with heavy steel construction from head to toe. Starting with the overbite jaw, it can grab pipe up to 2″ in diameter. The jaw has good columns of teeth (ridges) that offer maximum gripping surface. The jaw also has inscribed measurement marker in inches. The roller (adjustment) mechanism is flexible, but not too loose. The roller is smooth and easily set with your thumb. The handle bar is entirely made of steel with the tail end slightly tapper. The shape and length of the handle provide great leverage for rotating a pipe. As always, the wrench is colored in Milwaukee’s signature bright red. Overall, it is a great tool to have around the houses down in your tool box. I’m completely satisfied.

Has a really good grip on the pipe and the length is great also giving it plenty of leverage for most jobs.

This is an excellent wrench, a bit heavy. The teeth grab well on pipes or anything else needing brute force. The handle is longer than most similar sized wrenches, which equates to better leverage.

Bought these pipe wrenches not to long ago. Cost equivalent to a rigid which seems to be the best. Needed a pair for everyday use, must be able to turn round pipe. Worked great on fittings and anything square. My forman used them (who has 15 years experience in heavy mechanical) and quickly returned them due to poor spring design. He swears they slipped on him a few times due to the excess spring play. Showed me the difference between mine and another and it did seem to have more play then most. I’m not saying not a good buy, but check before you buy. It may just have beven my pair.

I was surprised to find that this wrench was made of steel and not aluminum. The reasons for that is that it is lighter than my older wrench’s but by no means do I mean it is flimsy. the adjustment of the jaws was very easy and can be done quickly. The jaws do a great job of grabbing the pipe with minimal slip. This is very important when attempting to break loose old pipes where a slip can injure you. At this price point you are getting a higher quality tool that should provide years of use.

This is a wrench made to last. It is so well made. It is nice and heavy duty. I like the size and weight of the grip. It is comfortable for my hand yet super strong. All of the components are well thought out and well designed. It is easy to open and close the grip surface with one thumb. The grip surface itself is wide giving better traction. My husband, who is a plumber, immediately confiscated it for his work tool.

It is a great tool. We didn’t need such a tool for our business.

Give a girl pipe wrench and she will use it on everything in the house. I needed it for a specific task on our water pump and now use for everything. Don’t know what I did before.

Way better then any Husky or Stanley ones I used in the past.

Once again, unless your in the trades, and you are just a DIY’er this pipe wrench should more than satisfy multiple needs. Fully closed the tool is approx.13 1/4 inches, fully opened at it’s max working position it is approx.15 5/8 inches. It has graduations marked from 1/2″ to 2 inches. I found this tool to be very well balanced and easy to adjust with just a flick of a thumb. It has very good ergonomics and probably weighs 3-3 1/2 pounds. As with any kind of tool like this the serrated gripping surfaces will eventually wear down and you have to replace the tool. I have never seen replacement parts for a pipe wrench to date. I can see this wrench lasting me 20 years, as long as I don’t lend it out.
