The Milwaukee SAE and metric 50 piece 1/4 in. drive ratchet and socket and SAE/Metric Combination Ratcheting Wrench set was designed from the ground up to offer better access in tight spaces and maximum tool strength. The 90-tooth ratchet tool offers 4° of arc swing and a slim profile design, allowing work in tighter spaces. Innovative socket design has 4 parallel flats, which deter rolling and are wrench compatible. Optimized socket geometry helps reduce bolt rounding and stripping. Socket sizes are stamped into the flats for improved easy-to-read visibility. The ratchet and socket kit comes with a removable inner tray, designed to be stored long-term in a steel storage chest. For the job requirement, these picks were the proper tool. I used the 90 and 45 degree picks to loosen the spring clips on the injector harness on a BMW X3 N52 engine. This was done to increase clearance to remove the valve cover to replace the gasket.The picks were the appropriate length. Quality appears to be excellent, Well finished plastic handles and a knurl on the pick shafts to facilitate to facilitate rotation.

I thought I would try out this set as I wanted something a little better than the standard open end wrench set I had and I didn’t have a full set of metric sizes. I have to say these work very well and the teeth in the open end really grip on with just a little bit of pressure. Your wrench won’t slip off. I was using with a nut that was stuck on a bolt and I had it setup so I could apply maximum force to it with both hands and the wrench didn’t disappoint. The nut would not come off but the wrench was stronger than the 1/2 bolt as it sheared it in two. These wrenches say can apply 25% more torque but the problem is their not long enough. They all should be 1″ longer. I have some other long ratcheting wrenches and they work great but I don’t use for breaking a nut loose as would damage it. The other thing is the tray they come in is very nice but is way to big. I don’t have one of those huge tool boxes so I had to put them into a more standard wrench organizer to fit next to my old SAE set.

Good sturdy set of wrenches. The max bite feature on the open end helps avoid strippage. Have a good feel too, the handles sit well when using. Wanted a good set of wrenches for some time, these were a great upgrade for what I had.My only wish is that Milwaukee would offer a wrench roll to store them in. Took me a while to find wrench rolls that had at least 15 slots. Even so, no fault of the wrench set certainly and very happy with this set.

Very nice full 1/4″ drive set. The box is very impressive and Milwaukee quality as well. Not your average blow molded junk that won’t last a year, the case is nylon fiber reinforced composite with a steel hinge rod. Very sleek and stackable with other Milwaukee boxes. The tools themselves have a very nice finish, dual etchings 180 degrees apart so you don’t have to hunt for the size markings. Ratchet has very fine steps for tight work, and no noticeable slop. Very proud of this set!
