Another great product from the people at Milwaukee. This is a smaller heavy duty ratchet to be used in tight spaces. The handle is only 5.5′ long and is kind of small for big hands. But when you have a tight space to work in like cars or garden equipment this is right up your alley. This wrench has flat spots on the top and bottom of the handle to make it easier to grip and not as rough on the hands. The flush directional lever is easy to use and does not get in the way. The polished chrome finish is very nice looking and easy to clean.

This 1/4 inch ratchet drive is smaller than a pea. Not good for stiff bolts. You may want a larger form factor.

I recondition cars for a living and the first time I picked up this ratchet I know I would like it. It has a heft to it and feels substantial but still balances well. The smooth lines make working in tight areas easy. the ratchet mechanism feels smooth and the directional lever is as small as possible while still being easy to operate.

Needed a new quality 1/4 drive ratchet. This is exactly what I needed.. I had worn out the ratchet in my old socket set by another manufacturer but the sockets were still good. The Milwaukee 1/4″ drive seemed like a substantial well made replacement. It is good for tight spaces and only requires a 4 degree swing. The good news is this one comes with a Lifetime Guarantee. It will be a well used addition to my tool box. Price point seems a little high- but it is well made and had a lifetime warranty.

This smaller drive ratchet comes in handy when working in small, tight spaces. As long as your hand fits in the work area, you can use this drive ratchet. From my photos, you can see how short the handle is relative to my hand. The grip is comfortable. The sockets snap on and stay solidly attached. The directional lever is easy to switch ensuing the socket rotates in the direction needed. I would warn that even though this drive ratchet is small, it still is strong enough to overtighten!

This appears to be a decent hand tool in the moderate price range. I’ve been shopping for a new maker of moderately priced automotive tools for the shade tree mechanic since the maker of my favorite department store brand decided that quality was no longer a requirement and moved manufacturing to China. This tool is manufactured in Taiwan so time will tell if quality control is any better there.

The high chrome finish makes this tool look good and the fine 90 tooth gear requiring a mere four degrees of movement per click means this slim line ratchet has great functionality. The very smooth handle has no sharp edges and it is easy to get a good deal of leverage without cutting into the hand at all. The low profile direction lever never binds and flicks between on and off very easily. The ball bearing in the drive head holds sockets and extensions firmly without undue movement or disconnecting. Benefits from the famous Milwaukee lifetime warranty. A fine addition to any tool kit.

This Milwaukee 1/4 inch drive ratchet is a good quality tool. It has a smooth action and both forward and ratcheting back and has an easy to switch toggle for changing the direction from off to on. It features a 4 degree ARC swing and has a solid steel handle. The handle fit in the hand well and is comfortable. It comes with a limited life time warranty

Very smooth operation. I have the 3/8 ratchet and use it along side my Snap-On ratchets. I needed some nice back-up ratchets for my Snap-Ons now that my dealer isn’t as readily available as before. But now, I find the Milwaukee ratchets are my go to Ratchets.

It will take time to fully evaluate this ratchet but so far so good. For the price I am very impressed by the simple design that is sturdy and well built. I am impressed with the handle design being very comfortable and not too rigid or straight. This is Milwaukee and their reputation is rock solid like this unit. I will be more confident if this is rust resistant but never has to be perfect. I look forward to many more years of use!

This is a real handy little addition to the ‘kitchen tool kit’ which consists of the basic items needed to make small repairs and assemble things that arrive as ‘some assembly suggested’. The drive wrench that came with my 1/4 inch sockets is relatively short and thick and does not fit into tight spaces like this elegant little wrench does.It has made a number of small jobs much simpler and more easily accomplished.

I received this Milwaukee 1/4″ Ratchet Driver just in time for a project I had that was well over-due. Working in a very tight space I had almost no options of tools to use. My old ratchet allowed me just 2 “clicks” on the wrench at a time (which equated to 9 degrees of movement per “click= 18 deg.). When I used my new 1/4” ratchet I got 6 clicks (4 degrees per “click”= 24 deg.), it gave me more fastener rotation per stroke, hence the job went quicker. I was driving 1/4-20’s and #8-32’s nuts ( about 45-50 nuts total) that had fairly tight fitting threads so I couldn’t just use my fingers. Needless to say, it took a lot less work to disassemble and then reassemble later. This ratchet wrench is of solid construction and has no “slop” in it’s ratchet mechanism!

Impressive ratchet even for a 1/4 ratchet. Easily as good as a rathet double its price. Feels heavy, solid and operates smooth. Well worth the money, you wont be disappointed. Must have tool to add to your tool box.

My experience with socket drives has been more with Craftsman over the years and more recently Kobalt. For starters, this socket drive is thinner than either of the above mentioned which allows getting into tight spaces and removing much easier. The handle is the same length as other ¼” socket drives in my tool chest. The handles on all the socket drives I’ve used have always been round. This drive handle is round but flattens near the end for a little better grip. This drive is quieter than other brand drives I’m accustomed to using an observation. It has a flip type switch to change the drive from tighten to loosen. I prefer that over a dial which often slips when using a drive putting it in neutral or completely in the other direction so this is a nice feature. It doesn’t have dial grip on the back that can assist removal of a fairly loose nut or bolt. Not having it may be part of the design allowing it to have a thinner profile. If it is a preference to you then it may be something to take into consideration. One other feature it doesn’t have that I have found beneficial is that the socket doesn’t lock onto the drive with a release button. It may not happen regularly but have had sockets slip off the drive while in use. The lock on feature prevents that from occurring. It’s really nice to have the ¼” drive for smaller jobs and the smaller sockets. Adding adapters to 3/8” drives isn’t always possible for use in smaller spaces in addition to slippage and accuracy of use. Overall this seems like a really nice quality drive and the thin profile is definitely a bonus.
