My New Toy. This will be everywhere my tools take me. Awesome grip. Awesome look. Feels very powerful and is obviously bigger than a standard hammer. Has very sharp straight back claws for easy removing of nails and even demoing. The smooth face is bigger than most for easy to hit nails. I love the magnetic nail holder. Great for getting hard to reach nails started, Cant wait to use that feature.

I was surprised by how heavy a 17 oz. hammer is. This isn’t my first hammer either. I have different hammers for different tasks. This claims to be a 17 oz. hammer, but it feels heavier than my 22 oz hammer. I prefer the smooth face hammer do to the fact that if I miss the nail, it doesn’t damage a finish surface as badly as a waffle face hammer. I don’t have a scale, but by feel compared to other hammers I own, this isn’t a 17 oz. hammer, it is several ounces heavier.
