This is a large hammer for large jobs. Very sturdy, heavy, and powerful, it makes quick work of the task at hand. It is made and finished well, and is designed to reduce ringing when in use. The only thing I would suggest as an improvement is that the sticker that was attached to it, describing the anti-ring feature, was very sticky and required Goo Gone to remove. This should be replaced with the type of sticker that peels off cleanly. It is an awesome tool, so it is worth the effort involved in cleaning off that tag adhesive.

If you want a trusty piece to plant nails upright or bentover then this is your tool! Strong as anything you would pay more for. A must have if you are a serious builder/framer!!! The Milwaukee 22 ounce smooth face framing hammer is very high quality and I’d definitely recommend it for the professional carpenter or home builder. The weight is well balanced and the Shockshield grip gives it up to 10X vibration reduction which means it’s easier on my hand and arm. The magnetic nail set is a great feature and works so well to set the nail and frees up your other hand to hold the stud or sheeting in place. it’s another high quality Milwaukee product!
