Nice feeling ratchet, but when your hands get greasy it’s almost impossible to get the socket off the ratchet. What is this 1969?Almost all decent ratchets have a button to release the socket.

When I recieved this ratchet, first I was suprized it was a Milwaukee hand tool and I was also suprized how nice it was. Putting it to use I was happy to see that it was very tightly built with very little slop. The ratchet action is very close meaning you don’t need to move the ratchet much to get another bite. I have let my buddy at the shop use it and he was very pleased with it also. I won’t be buying $100 ratchets anymore, I better get my name ingraved in it soon. I will be looking for other Milwaukee hand tools in the near future

This ratchet has been a game changer for me at work! Installing batteries can get you into some tight spaces and until now I’ve been scraping along with wrenches (my right hand can testify to the scraping part). Smooth easy to grip perfectly balanced I could go on for days! Bottom line it’s an amazing tool and worth every penny to me!

I have a large variety of ratchets and I use the Milwaukee one quite often and have always loved how the internals felt, out of all my high end ones this still seems to hold its place especially for the price. I’ve also seen torture tests where this ratchet hot 300lb ft of torque before before failure. So for those of you who say it’s a weak ratchet might have just had a faulty one but keep in mind it has a warranty and the price is a fraction of the well known brands. And lastly Milwaukee is a power tool company so that’s even more impressive that their 3/8” drive ratchet took the top spot for strongest 3/8” drive ratchets.

Another great product from the people at Milwaukee. This is a heavy duty feeling ratchet and with its 8.5′ handle is very easy to grip and hold. This ratchet has a flat spot on both sides (top and bottom) of the handle near the bottom which makes it very comfortable to hold. The flush directional level is small, easy to use and doesn’t get in the way. This polished chrome ratchet is easy to clean and with the lifetime warranty can’t be beat.

Comfortable to hold with great leverage, this 3/8 inch low profile ratchet easily makes light work of fastener work in general and in tight spots in particular. The lever to change ratchet direction is also low profile and works smoothly and easily with no sticking or jamming at any time. The fine toothed gear has 90 teeth and needs only 4 degrees of movement to engage the next tooth. Sockets and extension bars attach easily and stay in place with little to no movement. The tool is backed by the famous Milwaukee lifetime warranty.

So far so good and I look to be impressed. I am very impressed by the simple design that is sturdy and well built. I like the handle design which is very comfortable. This is Milwaukee and their reputation is rock solid like this unit. I will be more confident if this is rust resistant but never has to be perfect. I look forward to many more years of use!

This ratchet is made by Milwaukee and is a 3/8 inch drive ratchet. It is a good quality tool that should last a long time. It has a 4 degree ARC swing and is smooth in its movement both forward and back in the ratchet. The handle is solid and fits the hand well and is very comfortable to use. The selector switch is easy to use to go between on and off. This tool comes with a limited life time warranty.

3/8 in. Drive Ratchet – Being a Milwaukee-brand hand tool, I have high expectations for how they perform and their quality; this ratchet exceeded both. First regarding quality, it is simply a work of art. It looks and feels great and is above comparison to all the other many ratchets in my tool chest. It has a 90-tooth ratchet gear and turns very smoothly and with its slim design allows you to get movement on bolts or nuts in very tight areas.

I have several Milwaukee hand tools and have been very pleased with them. This has not proven an exception to my current expectations. It has a very nice, shiny finish on it, but it is no where as slippery as polished G10. All my 3.8″ sockets, metric and SAE, fit well. I went with a friend to one of his relative’s home in the country and found some rusty nuts. I put a breaker bar on this and broke the nuts, not the ratchet. I am always hesitant to give a product a 5 star rating when longevity is important, but in this case I am going to make an exception. Milwaukee produces good tools and I have had this one in my hands. The only way that I would buy this product bare and not in a set would be if I lost my current ratchets. (Plural is correct. I have more than one 3/8″ ratchet.)

This ratchet out of the box is embarrassingly dry. Its also loud. Take it apart, grease the teeth and pawl liberally. It will become insanely smooth and quiet. Feels like its got 120 teeth. Amazing.

Ratchet looks, feels and handles like a hundred dollar ratchet. If you like tools then you’ll love this ratchet. Really solid in weight and real smooth operation.
