These have a comfortable handle and are very strong. My only complaint is the working end chips / deforms very easily if you use a hammer to force it into a tight spot. Not sure if that’s to be expected, but it seems like they should be harder.

Fantastic design and construction. Only pry bars that I have seen that have the shaft passing through the handle so that you can hit it with a hammer. I have several of the same style of pry bars and regardless of the top name brand, they all look like they are made from the same manufacturer. These Milwaukee pry bars are “I” beam in structure so they are very strong in providing leverage as well as the chrome finish being sturdy enough to handle the stress put on them. Nothing beats the ability to hit the handle with a hammer and not worry about the handle breaking.

Great construction, like the ability to stick the back with a hammer.

Great designs

Works as it should. Have had snap on & Matco pry bar sets I really like these and the price is right. Tool trucks are way overpriced but you already knew that.

No prying task is too big or too small! With this set you will no longer damage screwdrivers while trying to pry stuff apart. The triangular or tri-lobe handles are a welcomed change to the status quo, you get a more comfortable grip when using them. Additionally, the handles have a metal cap intended for you to use a hammer if needed. They were actually designed for the user to be able to use a hammer if the need arises without damaging the handle or the prybar…all sizes are so equipped! Truly a heavy duty set, haven’t had to take a hammer to any of the prybar yet, but I am confident that finished to,they would hold. Great quality, sturdy, heavy duty product!

Heavy-duty pry bar set in four useful sizes — 24″, 18″, 12″ and 8″. I ordered these mostly because I needed some smaller pry bars. I have a 36″ wrecking bar and one of Estwing’s larger handy bars that I’ve used quite a bit while rehabbing our deck, but a number of times I’ve found myself wishing I had something better suited for tighter spaces and smaller jobs. These are perfect — and thanks to the I-beam construction, the 24″ is plenty big enough to tackle a heavier job without the added weight of a round wrecking bar. It’s hard to judge the quality of steel just by looking, but it seems like good quality, judging from the sound, with heavy chrome plating. The lifetime warranty adds some peace of mind. The handles are triangular (Milwaukee calls them Tri-Lobe) rather than round, but even the small one is meaty and fits my hand nicely, even wearing gloves. A metal strike cap is another nice touch, and assuming the description on the package is accurate, the steel bar extends all the way through the handle to the strike cap. Bottom line, a high-quality set of pry bars in four useful sizes — and at a very reasonable price point. Highly recommended.

Overall my rating is 5 star because the steel I-beam construction goes straight through the handle, basically a full tang if this were a knife, ending at a hammer cap. The pry bar weight is particularly noticeable while holding the 24″ size which is the only one in my set that had a tip guard. I found the set difficult to open and the clear plastic is a recyclable item, however the set could be improved by designing the clear plastic top in such a way that it could continue to be used as a cover for the black tray (26-3/’8″ x 7-1/2″ x 2-3/8″) and even better yet if it could continue to be hung on pegboard. If the tray fits into your toolbox, great otherwise store them in a drawer like screwdrivers or get an pocketed apron to keep them together.

Love the design of the handle, the striking cap is a must, they dont flex much at all. They’re as good as any tool truck brand. If I had to complain… I wish they’d also make a larger one like 36” – even if it was sold separately.

Really impressed with these bars. I’m a rather large guy and these have very little flex when really putting some weight behind them

Claiming up to 40% more prying strength and seemingly attributing that to the I-Beam design of the steel shafts I presume that the claim is compared to non I-Beam designs. That might be true but speaking from experience I can get more prying power from the 18 inch Milwaukee bar when compared to another good quality 18 inch pry bar I own but the advantage, as far as I can tell, is due to the bigger angle on the prying end. The Milwaukee bar has a 24 degree angle and my other bar only has a 20 degree angle. There was another difference between the two 18 inch bars. The Milwaukee bar is a true 18 inches in length and my other (very expensive) bar came up short at 17 ½ inches! The solid metal I-Beam core runs all the way from the pry end to the striking cap and that is good design. The steel is chrome plated for protection and longevity. The tri-lobe plastic handles are comfortable to hold. The 24 inch bar has a rubber like protection cover on the sharp end for safety. The packaging is designed to be the tool storage as well. This is a useful feature because if a bar is not in its place and not known to be in use it serves to remind me to find the bar and retrieve it. Each of the bars, 8 inch through 24 inch lengths comes with a Milwaukee lifetime guarantee.

The quality is so far good they are super light havent used the big one yet but i like the handle i just think its a bit over priced just because they’re Milwaukee
Dameon Beier (verified owner) –
I used them quite often the long one is great for breaking salt bridges in brins tanks. The shorter one is great for urinals out of the caulking
