The MILWAUKEE SAE 28 piece 3/8 in. drive ratchet & socket set was designed from the ground up to offer better access in tight spaces and maximum tool strength. The 90-tooth ratchet tool offers 4 of arc swing and a slim profile design, allowing work in tighter spaces. Innovative socket design has four parallel flats, which deter rolling and are wrench-compatible. Optimized socket geometry helps reduce bolt rounding and stripping. Socket sizes are stamped into the flats for improved easy-to-read visibility. the ratchet and socket kit comes with a removable inner tray, designed to be stored long-term in a steel storage chest. Professional quality! Although a hardcore DIY’r now, there was a time when I made my living with tools like this. I still have three stacking toolboxes absolutely full of high-end tools, air impacts, etc… My tools go back forty-five years, and can still handle any job today. That’s what you get with professional quality tools. They last forever. I put this Milwaukee tool-set solidly in that category. A few items I really like is the fine tooth motion of the ratchet, the sockets have a flat spot for a wrench, the extensions are ribbed (allowing for hand tightening/loosening without using a “spinner”. I like they have both shallow and deep sockets. My only concern is the fit and finish is perfect, almost too pretty to put through their paces. I’m not known to go easy on tools, so they need to be the best. I feel these qualify as one of the best.

I bought this and have done a few transmission jobs, and smaller maintenance job. Very strong steel construction, love the wrench assist! In tight spots where an actual wrench or breaker bar is to big. The socket design is flawless. I love saving money, and buying tools once in a life time definitely saves money.

Drive SAE Ratchet and Socket Mechanics Tool Set (28-Piece)I really like the squared sides on these sockets because they are easier to hold with oily hands, they do not roll away on me and I can put a wrench on them when needed. The ratchet feels heavy, sturdy and has a couple flat edges plus the 90 tooth ratchet lets me tighten or loosen with less room to swing the handle because each click is closer together than any other ratchets I have ever had. There are groves on the extensions that help hold or turn them. The carrying case is heavy enough to hold up nice and the inside there is a removable tray that holds the tools and can be placed in your tool cabinet.

I was to excited to get my 3/8 in. Drive SAE Ratchet and Socket Set (28-Piece). I have a few Milwaukee tools & they are 2nd to none. The ratchet is a fine tooth one & works awesome. The sockets are marked pretty good but I wish they were painted too like there wrenches. The case for the socket set is very nice & it will be easy to keep track of them. I will be using these for many years to come.

I have owned many socket sets over the years but this set is the best I have owned including tool truck brands. The square shaped drive end is very handy and speeds nut & bolt removal. A+ rating I own and operate my own small engine repair business and these tools never get a break, used daily and no problems whatsoever. It’s a great ratchet set. The size labels on the sockets are large and easy to read. All of the tools sit in particular slot in the box, so there are no pieces rattling around. The ratchet has more teeth in it, so it grips with smaller turns than other ratchets I’ve had. This is helpful in small spaces.
