Over the years I have been very happy with the quality and durability of the Milwaukee brand of tools, and this steel fish tape is no exception. The 1/8 inch flexible blue tempered steel fish tape is coiled within what appears to be a very heavy duty case. The tape plays out smoothly and is easily retracted using the square inner grip. A real plus is the handle on the reel case which is designed to provide multiple and comfortable grip positions. See attached photograph.

I picked up this 120 ft. X 1/8 in. Steel Fish Tape, by Milwaukee Tools, to replace an old worn out hand-me-down for a rewire of my garage. This fish tape is really slick, smooth pay out and rewind, and easy to pull wire with. The flexible blue tempered steel tape is laser etched in one foot increments, allowing me to tell how far the run is before pulling wire. The squared off inner case is low friction polymer as well as the multi-grip handle. Another great tool from Milwaukee Tools!

Arrive just in time for a project to run Ethernet cable through several walls of our home to the outside eaves for security cameras! We had several runs that needed to go through stucco walls and then through the ceiling. The fish tape is sturdy yet flexible to get to some hard to reach angles and walls, and in a few instances a small whole in the stucco wall. This item stores easy and will be among my most common tools to use! The 100′ length allow us to avoid climbing through the attic to run a 100′ Ethernet from the back of the home to the front. It’s a bit bulky and the polyester design made it flexible enough to make the longest runs. The 50′ steel version was used for most all of the other runs.

Much larger fish tape than normal. But then that’s how Milwaukee deals with all kinds of tool for all kinds of problems. You can pull wire from the other end of the house or many rooms away. This is a great tape for pulling all kinds of wire for a house. If you’re building a house and need to pull wire from a reel through the house this one will do it. It’s a big strong reliable and durable tape. Always a great buy from Milwaukee and Home Depot.

With this fish tape I don’t have to worry if it goes into a live panel.

One of the best fish tapes I’ve ever used. Easy to use and and the set up for rolling up makes it a snap. Minimal resistance and smooth operation. I also like the strength and durability. It is well marked so you know how much length you’re working with. It really feels like a solid piece of gear and should last a long time. There isn’t anything that I don’t like about it!

Excellent materials used to construct this fish Tape. I already have a 25 foot fish tape but there have been a few times where that was not quite long enough. This fish tape will definitely be long enough to tackle any job that comes along. It unwinds and re-rewinds very easily. It is also stiff enough that you can exert some force while pushing it without having it bend upwards. Definitely pleased with this product and would recommend it for you tool collection.

Well thought out, robust tool!Milwaukee seldom disappoints, and this is another well engineered tool. The case is strong and robust with a handle designed for two holding positions. The fish tape runs out easily. It does tend to coil when it gets into a large void. When rolling the tape back in I encountered no problems with it jambing up inside. The tag claims that the tip is non conduction which implies that the tape itself might be. Polyester does create static electricity if rubbed on the wrong material but I do not see that as an issue, just clarifying that it is the tip that is non conductive. It is designed for use around live circuits. The inside of the roll has a square hole that is easily manipulated to wind the tape back in. This means there is no flapping crank handle to get in the way when it is not in use. There are also some small slots in the side that can be used to see how much tape is still on the roll.Made in TaiwanLimited Lifetime Warranty

Works the best in empty 1/2″ conduits or 3/4″ conduits with 4 #12 wires or less. This fish features a non conductive head, which for hot work is the optimum choice. However, because of the size of the non conductive head it doesn’t negotiate 1/2″ conduit with wire in it easily, if you can get it into the conduit at all. The pulling head will also really only accept about 4 #12’s for pull back. That is the only reason I rated it four stars. If this is your only fish tape you are going to be frustrated with the size limits it imposes on you.All we do is conduit work and we are always looking for ways to make fishing conduits easier. It pushes the easiest of all the other tapes I have used including metal, fiberglass, and nylon. The polyester has a super slick coating and the flexible leader easily glides around curves and past couplings. The diameter of the polyester shaft is a little larger than others I own and at first I thought it would limit getting through conduits. This extra beef lets you send more pushing force down stream as you feed out the tape. The polyester doesn’t have a memory either so it does not coil itself around your legs as you pull it back or feed it out, love that feature. Milwaukee did a fantastic job of making the case glide easily when paying out and reeling back in. Much smoother than the competitors. We keep this fish tape and its brother with the flexible metal leader in the truck at all times and love both of them, you just have to choose the right tool for the job when it comes to which one to use first.

As a pipe fitter I needed a good set of wrenches that we’re going to last. I certainly feel these are it. The I beam design really allows for the user to get a strong grip. The packaging was excellent. The only thing I don’t like is the tray it comes in is more difficult for the tradesman to carry around. It’s designed to go into a mechanic box. I’ll have to purchase a roll up pouch separately. The hook and pick set that came with it is perfect t for grabbing gaskets between flanges. Overall it’s an excellent product

Milwaukee 120 Ft. x 1/8″ Steel Fish Tape arrived intact. This is a well made high quality fish tape. The hard plastic case is low friction for smooth tape payout. Simply grasp the outer multi-position handle with one hand, and the square inner grip handle with the other hand to pull out payout, and reverse to pull back into case. It is so easy, so smooth, no jamming. The fish tape is flexible blue tempered steel with laser etched markings. It has an anti-catch tip. The tip is nice and big to fit multiple wires if need be, or for different uses around the house. This fish tape will make our wiring jobs much easier.
