A stunning set of quality ratcheting wrenches with many ease of use features.Wow! What a beautiful set of wrenches. I have both the Metric and SAE sets, and this review covers either. They make a good pair with the SAE set in red lettering, and the Metric set in black. There are so many good things to get say, so let’s get going. First, as mentioned, these make a good pair if you get both the SAE and Metric. The sizes are in engraved colored lettering that’s easy to see and easy to determine which type. The cases can be paired back to back as they lay in your tool drawer. So for starters, you can grab the right wrench for the job. 15 wrenches in either set allow for a good range of sizes, including some of the odd-ball sizes in the SAE version you never seem to have.Beyond that, they just have a good feel in your hand, with a good degree of heft for the larger sizes. The open end have some teeth to them to grab the fastener head. The ratchet is a thing of beauty, with a very small arc swing. It says 2.5 degrees for the large sizes, and 3 degrees for the smaller sizes. YES! I have been so frustrated by my old ratchets that required 10 degrees of swing. This small arc is really important as it seems everything these days is in tight spaces. Milwaukee continues to impress me with their tools, even as they have had to offshore some of the manufacturing. These sets are made in Taiwan without cutting quality. These are great high end homeowner tools that a pro would gladly use too.

These feel very good in the hand. These wrenches seem to be well-engineered, making them a good tool. I like the MAXBITE open end. This should give a better “bite” with less possibility of slipping and rounding off heads, and, as the info says, 25% more torque, The storage carrier is well thought out, and makes a good way to keep them organized without falling out.. The carrier is also marked with the sizes, making it easy to grab the right one. The ink filled sizes on the wrenches are well marked and very easy to see. I couldn’t really feel the 2.5 degree arc. It seemed like it took that much after catching on the pawl before it would turn the nut, bolt, etc. I’m not sure that this small arc is all that important. 5 degrees seems to be fine for me.

The Milwaukee Tools Metric Combination Ratcheting 7-Piece Wrench Set is made of drop forged steel, and then finished with chrome. These wrenches are comfortable in my hands while using them. The open end of the wrenches are uniquely designed with grooving on the tools surfaces. The ratcheting end works great when there is limited access to loosen a nut or bolt, where a socket wrench won’t fit. Then Milwaukee Tools includes a durable wrench storage case to keep them neatly together when it’s time to store the set until there next use.

These wrenches are marketed by Milwaukee Tools a manufacturer I have come to trust. While using the tools I found the fit and finish of the wrenches do show well for Milwaukee Tools. The strength of the open end and the ratcheting box end worked without flaw. I can say without exception these wrenches will get the job done without failure. The smooth finish actually gives you the feeling that they really cared when these wrenches were made. If you have shopped for tools lately that in its self is an improvement.

These things are awesone. They feel great in your hands, have a powerful grip/torque, and the ratcheting is smooth. I only wish they didn’t look so nice because I don’t want to get them dirty!

These are officially my ‘goto’ wrenches! Beautifully crafted, heavy duty, and the ratcheting ends add just that much more usability. The sizes for each have what looks like black epoxy in them and make it easy to find the right size. The handles are very comfortable to grasp and the larger ones take to two handed operation without any issues. And they are so hefty I would feel comfortable putting a pipe or other extender on them for more leverage. If one has limited space and can get the ratcheting end on them, the small amount of motion needed from click to click makes it possible, if not time consuming, to get nuts and bolts in tight spaces free.I’ve relegated my other open end/box wrenches to my lower drawers in case I need more than one of the same size. These look so nice all laid out in my tool drawer that I threw the cases they came in away.

I have always been a big fan of Milwaukee power tools and I am just as impressed with these wrenches. The fit an finish of each wrench is impeccable. The size of each wrench is crisply stamped and ink filled on each end of the wrench on both sides. The I beam handle portion of the wrench has been well thought out from an ergonomic perspective. There is a groove down the middle of the handle while the edges are wider and rounded over. The handle is slightly wider in the middle and tapers slightly toward the ratchet and wrench heads. You pick up this wrench and it immediately feels good in your hands. The combination of features in the handle alone allow you to exert much more force on a stuck bolt without biting into your hand. The open end of the wrench features Max Bite which is supposed to provide 25% more torque. Two things that are noticeable about the Max Bite system are that there are small relief cuts in the wrench where the corners of the bolt head would normally contact the wrench. This allows force to be exerted on the flat portion of the bolt head vs the corners. A big plus, and I think that is how they get the increased torque as well. There are also some small grooves cut into the flats of the open ended head of the wrench. These work surprisingly well in preventing the wrench from slipping off the bolt. And no they do not mar the bolt head. The ratchet end of the wrench has a 12 point box wrench end plus a 2.5 degree arc swing. That’s 144 clicks for 1 revolution. Perfect for getting into tight spaces. To reverse direction simply flip the wrench over. The caddie that comes with the wrench set is also well thought out, keeping the wrenches well organized and easily portable. If I could change would thing, it would be using Milwaukee Red ink to mark the size of each wrench vs black. You can’t beat a lifetime guarantee. All in all another great product by Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Metric Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set (7-Piece)What a beautifully engineered and well-made set of wrenches. This 7-piece set includes an 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 17mm. Each ratcheting box-end “clicks over” at just 2.5 degrees enabling you to work in very tight spaces. And the ratcheting action in reverse to tighten or loosen feels rock solid and strong due to their internal double stacked pawls. The “open ends” of these combination wrenches offer a maximum potential “bite” from a combination of small cross grooves on the parallel sides, small corner relief cuts allowing the corners of a hex nut or bolt to enter ensuring their fullest engagement, and a 60 degree “V” shaped center—also with the small corner relief cut (see photo). Surfaces are polished bright for comfort in the hand and grooved along their shanks for a secure feel. Wrench size marking are black in color, and large and easy to read (the SAE size markings are in red), and appear on both sides of the tool. The markings are color ink filled. The carrying case is neat and has a tension lock to keep the wrenches in place. The SAE sized set that I also obtained are as follows: 3/8, 7/16, ½, 9/16, 5/8. 11/16, and ¾”. Funny I really needed the 9/16 size when adjusting my tractor’s alternator belt, even though this Kubota is supposedly all metric. The top tension nut was a perfect 12mm, but the overly tight lower pivot bolt was a 9/16 (see photo). So I am glad to have both sets. Milwaukee offers a lifetime guarantee on these wrenches. Nice!

I had not upgraded my wrenches for 25+ years, after all they came with a lifetime guarentee and they were in good condition. But as I started a minor repair on my Mazda, I found the tight quarters difficult work with them. I was wandering around HD and saw these ratcheting wrenches and thought I’d give them a try, I could always take them back if they didn’t help. Well color me impressed, the ratcheting made it so much easier to navigate in the tight quarters. They literally cut the disassembly/re-assembly time by more than half. The movement of the wrenches is nice and smooth, and they come in a nice case to keep them organized in one place, I so need help in keeping my tools where I can find them. Highly recommended, for the price they are a REAL step up, and time/nuckel saver in tight spaces.

All Milwaukee Tools are top notch tools and I think they are great. They won’t ever have to be replaced they’re just that tough!

The box end is too thick which do not make the wrenches very practical .

The Milwaukee Metric Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set may seem a bit pricey, but this heavy-duty set is worth it. Each piece is well made, hefty, and clearly marked as to what metric size it is. The jaw end has a kind of unique cut that directly fits the nuts, giving you more power to tighten/loosen them. The ratcheting part requires a very small arc swing, which means easier work in small spaces and more power in larger spaces. This is a set that you invest in for the long haul, and Milwaukee offers a lifetime warranty to back up your purchase. Very impressive.

Very nitpicky issue but the rack they come with is designed to hang horizontally. All the size markings are vertically oriented. The markings on the wrenches are vertical, no problem but the rack should be labelled horizontally since it hangs horizontal.
