Previously owned the wide blade version from milwaukee, after wearing that one down decided to go for the stud model which is supposed to last longer, etc. The overall feel of this tape is much better, is retraction is smoother with just the right amount of retracting force. Other tapes I feel are too fast and therefore hurt my fingers more often. Was hoping it would be smaller but it ended up being bigger.

I am an electrical contractor and go through a lot of tape measures. This Milwaukee seems to have a great fit in the hand, it free stands well and there is an open bottom where you can slow the retracting speed of the tape which I love! It also has drop proof protection on the outside which is a nice feature. Well worth it! I would have given it a 5 ⭐️ Except it’s made in China sadly…

Like the tape a lot. Nice big numbers on the tape making it really easy to see the measurement. Sturdy tape until about 10 – 11 feet. Will not hold to the 14′ standout that it says it will. Lightweight and sturdy. Would definitely suggest to others. Real nice tape

Definitely prefer this gen 2 style stud over the first. I feel like it’s more accurate from the hook part and doesn’t feel flimsy or loose to where a measurement could be off. The numbers are really visible and it has a scale on both sides of the tape. I really like how it has a finger stop underneath to hold a measurement and the lock itself works great. It has a coating on the actual tape which should protect it from breaking or bending. I also liked that it has a heck of a reach on the tape because that makes it more controllable to hook it easier on stuff. I was surprised the hook wasn’t magnetic but that isn’t anything I would use much anyway. It’s definitely made well and feels like it should last a long time. Belt clip works great and hooks good and definitely going to get another one.

This thing is a beast! Like you, we use tape measures all day and every day. Some are solid and some are light. This one is more than solid … it’s 14oz of beast-mode measuring tape. The engineers at Milwaukee have put everything they could think of in this and it shows. The tape is wide, stiff, easy to read and flexible. Archeologists are going to find this in a million years and wonder what kind of artifact it is … but it will still work. If you want great and don’t mind a little extra weight, this is the best of the best.

I figured I couldn’t go wrong with a Milwaukee, and my boyfriend really wanted a new tape measure. Is the 35 ft length necessary? Well, probably not. However, will my boyfriend need a new tape measure in the next 20 years (unless he loses it, ha!)?? Also… probably not. It’s extremely durable, and I would recommend it to anyone! It makes measuring by yourself simple, and it’s extremely accurate.

Quality Tape Measure! I haven’t used too many of Milwaukee tools but this is top notch quality tape measure. When using it, I enjoyed the fact that it is dual sided printing to measure as well as the fact that the numbers are big. The finger stop feature is great as it protects from blade retraction. Now this tape measure is heavy duty and it states that it can survive an 80’ drop. I have yet to drop it from that distance but no doubt it can as it is very durable. This is an overall high quality tape measure and I definitely recommend it if you are in need of a new one.

I just love this product! I’m a single older lady who loves to do DIY projects. I love the bigger numbers on the one side and it works so easily. I would recommend this to anyone who loves their independent side.

Excellent tape. Big numbers (both sides of the tape) are good for geezers. Very good reach. Tape stop and release mechanisms work very well.

EXCELLENT TAPE MEASURE! I STOPPED USING MILWAUKEE TAPE MEASURES A FEW YEARS BACK AS THE “TAPE” KEPT BREAKING BUT I’VE BEEN USING THIS ONE FOR A MONTH AND SO FAR THIS IS THE BEST TAPE I’VE EVER OWNED! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Good, strong, sturdy tape measure. I like the inclusion of the finger stop on the underside of the tape meadure, this allowed me to manual control how fast the tape retracted, I was able to hold it in place as well. This is useful if thelock becomes damaged or if you want to make a micro adjustment . The numbers on both sides of the tape measure allows me to easily triangulate an area, as I can clearly identify point B, where the tape bends. This is a heavy duty tape measure, I placed it in my pocket of my raincoat and it felt like it was going to tear right through it so I quickly took it out and carried it in my hand The Stud tape measure has a honeycomb type design, this allows for a better grip than the other non stud tape measures from Miwaukee

The fit and finish of this tape measure far and above exceeds the prior tapes I’ve used. The groove underneath the tape where you can stop and hold with a finger is great. The standout is significantly straighter and stronger than all of the competitors. (I tested them all myself). Best tape I’ve used. 🙂

This has quickly become my go-to tape measure. I really like the large print which makes it very easy for me to obtain an accurate measurement without squinting, requiring reading glasses, or second-guessing myself. I also like that it doesn’t matter which direction the tape measure is facing- I can still read the numbers. Why large print tape measures are not the norm is beyond me, but I sure am glad that Milwaukee designed this one. This has a permanent home in my toolbox.

The 25′ Milwaukee Stud measuring tape is a little large and bulky in my hand, but packs a lot of features. The wide tape is easy to read, marked on both sides and even includes a convenient 1/4″ & 1/8″ scale on the backside. The hook is not magnetized, which I prefer, but others will miss. Milwaukee claims 14′ of standout, which may be true if your being very careful, but in reality I get around 11′-12′ which is still a good length.

Extremely well built. Probably will come close to Milwaukee’s claim’s for toughness. I Like it alot.

Honestly I think this tape measure is one of the best i have ever used. It has worked really well for me on a few projects that I had to do around the house. It extends really far out before it bends. It is made very well, and sturdy. I also like the thickness of it. I just would of liked it alot better if it had the magnet on the end of the tape measure. But I do like how it is and how it’s made. I am used to using the 16 foot tape measures so this one is quite new for me to use a longer one, but i really do like it. The tape measure itself is alot thicker then the smaller sizes. I would definitely recommend the 25 ft tape measure if you are looking for a nice thick, durable and strong measuring tape.

After using the Milwaukee 16 ft. STUD measuring tape, I have found myself reaching for it over my other tape measures whenever I start a new project. This is a really nice tape measure and a big step over the original STUD tapes. The finger stop is by far my favorite option but not the only feature that makes this tape measure nice to have. Slightly heavier than other same length tapes but then the blade is wider, and the tape extends much further before snapping. The body is well reinforced with a rubber type overmold and I really like the wire belt clip better than the std. spring steel found on other tapes as the wire does not seem to tear the pants pocket as much. Because this is a wire and not a flat piece of spring steel you need to remove the tape by pulling up on it and not by pulling out and having it snap as the small screw holding the wire will not take that type of abuse and it will break off. The blade is numbered on both sides with large easy to read numbers and has an additional anti-tear coating on the first 6 inches or so for wear. There is an Architectural 1/4 scale on the back side but for most DIY’er not something that is going to be used very often. I could get the tape to extend approx. 14 feet before snapping and the tape lock worked perfectly. The hook is fairly large and easy to grab an edge or nail with on either side of the tape. There is a lanyard hole, but the tape does not come with one. This is a really good tape, much better than the original. The finger control is the best-selling point along with large easy to read numbers for us with older eyes. Caution must be taken with the pocket wire holder as it will break off if you pull out instead of pulling up to remove tape from pocket. Recommended.

This Tape Measure is a excellent tool. It does what Milwaukee said it will do with no short comings. For construction work it is stamped out for the 16in. and 24in. stud layouts plus vertical measurement to use with your laser level. It is a all in one measuring tool right by your side.
