It claims to I have a stand-alone distance of 8 feet. . It’s not true. It falls off at about 7. . Haven’t used it much yet. To give any further details.

Good quality blade I like you can hold the blade with your finger underneath instead of always locking it.It is a bit bulky but overall good tape measure

Bought three of these the clip doesn’t cut your pants like normal clips. Easy use design. Locking out holds the tape. Some times we drop tools and this has held up. I owned three because I’ve given them out as other brands break on my co workers.

Caveat: I am not a contractor. That being said, for regular use, I find myself reaching for the MUCH thinner and less bulky Stanley high visibility tape. These super beefy tape measures are just hard to hold, hit everything due to their width when you’ve clipped it to your belt, and I find myself frequently having to engage the locking button with two hands instead of one. I just do not personally need this level of bulk and would have chosen something different if I had seen it in person. The Milwaukee is WAY better than that truly awful Fat Max tape though (less weight, smoother extension and retraction, better readability).

Very acurate messure

Tape is somewhat flimsy and unit is very heavy. If extra weight was due to a heavier gauge tape, It would be understandable.

I own a parking lot striping company and my guys absolutely abuse tape measures like nobody’s business. We’ve tried ALL of them and we’ve found this to be the absolute best and most durable on the market…and it’s not even close. We used to go through one or two 25-35 ft tapes a month from every brand you can imagine, but the first one of these we bought is still in use after 9 months. No bends, no cracks, spring working like new. These things can take a beating on asphalt and concrete all day long no problem. Nothing that we know of is anywhere near this durable and reliable. Love love love these tapes. Best in the biz.

Good tape measure. Stands out to about 10 feet.

Nice with the finger cutout to control rewind of tape, good stand out.

The best tape measure I’ve ever owned. BUT it seems I’m alone in this opinion as either Milwaukee has decided to stop production or Home Depot has decided not to carry it. I used to use the Stanley Fatmax 16’, but they started making the blades slightly thinner & they don’t last.

These were on Clearance, at my local Home Depot. So, I grabbed a couple. I tend to misplace them, when I need them. Billed as the “Industries most durable tape measure”, I can believe it. If I drop it, it bounces. This will be my ‘go to’ for projects I am worried a tape measure might break (e.g on a roof or above cement). It is too big for a glove box or most pockets.

For the first time I can read the measure numbers easily without having to recheck.Nice wide tape that can stay straight.

Tape fits perfectly and comfortably in my hand which I like…I feel confident when using it up on a ladder or in some other awkward place that Im not going to drop it. If I did drop it however, this tape is built so sturdy I dont think it would even matter! The tape is also very durable it seems, with large numbers on it that even someone with eyes as bad as me can see them easily. It doesnt have numbers on the bottom side of the tape like some of the other Milwaukee tapes do, which I didnt like, but overall this tape goes right along with the quality, durability and functionality we have come to expect from Milwaukee Tool. This is actually the 3rd Stud tape Ive purchased since theyve come out, and this one I got for only $8 as it seems that Milwaukee and/or HD are doing away with the Stud tape as Ive heard it wasnt well received, but in my opinion I dont see why. No, it doesnt have markings on the bottom side of the tape, or a magnetic end on the tape, or a locking mechanism for the tape like some of the other Milwaukee tapes, but to me the fit of the tape in hand, and the durability of both the tape and the housing, as well as it being the best looking of the Milwaukee tapes, make this a really good tape measure in my opinion.
