Quality is outstanding, as I’ve come to expect from Milwaukee. I wasn’t interested in buying the $400 tool to properly drive this bit, though, so I had to use my 1/2″ standard drill chuck. It was a bit sketchy and underpowered, but it got done.

Worked as advertised

It made short work of boring through studs, beams and even an oak beam that was over 100 years old.

Sometimes the right tool for the job costs more, but it was worth every penny for it.

Remodeling a century home and needed a good bit to drill through the old, hardened joist. Regular hole saw bits did not work well. This bit worked perfectly. I bit pricey, but worth the cost if you need to drill a precise hole.

This is a must when taking on rough-in construction. I’m always pretty stoked to try out anything that’s made by Milwaukee while working and the self-feed bit holds up to the name. I wanted one pretty bad and almost got the Dewalt, this one has not given me any reason to look anywhere else. It eats through wood and stays sharp for a really long time.
