this is hands down the best drill bit I have ever used. I just wish it came in 1 1/8″ because the hole can be bigger then what I need sometimes. overall this drill bit is awesome.

This bit tears through very efficiently. It throws wood chips the size of corn flakes. But as soon as i caught a nail or a hard knot in old wood it needed a new blade. Works well enough, but for the price I hoped for durability more in line with my Milwaukee tools. For new construction Id give it 5 stars. For old work it didn’t live up to the brand for me.

Cuts through the hole well. Once the bit starts hang on. Only proplem is when the centre auger screw exits the cut you have to push the bit through. This causes exit to splinter and makes it hard to pull the bit back through the hole.

This product works only if you take out the silver (nail cutting) insert. If you don’t it gets filled with wood chips, binds and then renders the bit useless. It took me 20 minutes to dislodge the insert. Afterwards, it worked as well as any other bit.

Very easy and drills very easily. The best bits for wood. Having used the old style bits these grab and pull through the wood like butter. And if you hit a nail just change the blade.

With the replaceable blade you can use this for many years. I drilled pine logs for a railing in my cabin that is 14′ long on each side both top and bottom logs it worked great. Here is a partial picture.

Used for drilling holes for radiant heat in the joists of a 100 year old house. Mostly rough 2×7 but many were backed up with various lumber. This drill is the best that I have found for this purpose. It is short enough to get in between the joists and pulls itself through using an 18 volt drill on low range. Results were excellent with single joists. The stacked ones required backing out in reverse to clear the clips.I hit one spike that damaged the cutting edge but a quick blade change brought it back to new condition.In short, it works great and is repairable.
