   This extension is the only one I could find that fits a 5/16th hole saw mandrill, as most of the ones above 1 inch are.

   This extention has saved the day several times. Also the set screw for holding tips is a huge plus over other brands.

   Everything works perfectly with this extension. The only flaw is, using the old method of the set screw and hex key. Somewhere along the way my son or I will loose that tiny little hex key, while we are working in someones crawl space. There has got to be a better way. Maybe a modified version of a key-less chuck???

   Worked Great to drill a hole in my flooring under my riser for the pellet stove I put in. Needed this extension to reach all the way down.

   It worked well for the intended purpose although I had to re-tighten the bit holding set screw several times. Next time I’ll add a drop of lock-tite to the threads, no biggy!

    Be careful when you buy this extension. It says 3/8, but it only takes 3/8 hex, not 3/8 round. Home Deport probably won’t post this because they only post good reviews. They have rejected my reviews before, but keep asking for them.
