The MILWAUKEE® 3 Piece SHOCKWAVE™ Impact Magnetic Drive Guide Set is engineered for extreme durability and up to 30x life. The magnetic drive guide set features optimized Shockzones™ that absorb peak torque and prevent them from breaking. Each Custom Alloy76 Steel drive guide has a stainless steel sleeve that slides over the fastener for improved stability. The drive guide barrels have laser etched depth gauges for increased fastener control. The Milwaukee magnetic drive guide holds fasteners to the guide with a C-ring to retain the insert bit for maximum efficiency.

I really like these. I have a few sleeved bit holders from various companies and these by Milwaukee are the best of the bunch. After quite a bit of use driving loads of 2 inch #10 wood screws and many more 3 inch deck screws there’s no looseness or slipping. A sleeve bit holder like these are what you want when driving a long screw without a pilot hole.The biggest downfall of sleeve guided bit holders is that you can’t tell when you have counter sunk the screw enough. You have to pull the sleeve back manually to guide the screw the last bit. The graduated markings on the shaft help with this. It will however vary slightly from bit to bit. The sleeves with a rubber coating just get in the way and get chewed up over time, so the bare metal tubes on these are a plus.I tried bits from what I assume are Milwaukee’s two biggest competitors and they fit fine together. It was a little difficult the get bits in and out of the 4 inch holder, but after a few cycles it eased up. I’ve found that can change bits by hand—-some others will sometimes require a vise and pliers. The magnet is pretty much the perfect strength with no problems holding larger, heavier screws.If you don’t drive a lot of screws often then these bit holders will serve you well. I’ve driven enough screws so that the normal style is slightly quicker for me, but these will definitely stay in the tool bag—that is if the wife doesn’t steal them.

I wish I would have had these years ago, it’s a brilliant idea and extremely handy when trying to drill in longer than usual screws. Set comes with three drive guides, my preferred is the shortest one as it lets your drill fit in tighter areas, however they’re all extremely useful. The outside casing slides forward to give support to longer screws allowing you one handed use of your drill. They also fit standard sized driver bits, both Milwaukee branded as well as my no-name multi-pack. If they last as long as my other Milwaukee tools, these will last years and years
