This set has 3 pieces, 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ adapters. I didn’t realize at the time I bought it that I would use all 3 sizes in my Bosch cordless screw driver/drill for various jobs. It saved a lot of time getting the wheel cover off of my wife’s van so I could get the tire to the repair shop before it closed. This is a tool that you don’t know you need until you are in the middle of a job – then you need it really bad! This is something that everyone should have in their toolkit.

Milwaukee tools are among the best. In particular, this set of impact-rated socket adapters has dual advantages – the set is stubby, a significant advantage as they get used with a power tool that already adds length. Secondly, being impact rated makes them particularly useful with today’s high torque battery impact drivers. Since I now consider my battery impact drivers to be my most used power tools, these adapters just make those tools even more useful!

I am a real Milwaukee fan, but this is a rare miss for them. These should have been bundled with the “EXPAND” extensions you see on the lower right corner of the packaging, because without a gripping extension these adapters are not going to be terribly useful. They don’t have the locking groove you come to expect from socket adapters. The locking groove is only found on the extension.

Plan to use it to allow a battery powered impact driver to be used for sockets.

Nice to have accessory with my drill. I’ve used them way more than I originally expected.

These are nicely made, durable and exhibit all the quality expected in Milwaukee’s products. Not sure why they’re color-coded, as I’m not aware of colors relating to traditional sizing, but they look nice. This review is required to be a minimum of 350 words, which is kind of nutty when reviewing a product as simple and limited in what can honestly be said of it. They work, they’ve lasted nearly a year already and there’s no signs they’re going to wear-out any time soon. I’m happy.

I got these for light duty use from my impact or hammer drill. I use them to remove the bolts from sewer pumps or any other number of continuous light duty chores. They may be super rated, but at 1/4″ shank I try to keep it simple.

You can buy all three adapters individually for about the same price as buying the package. I personally only need one size. The packaged set comes with short shanks, I prefer the longer shank. See the included picture for the difference.Otherwise I would rate a socket adapter as a must have for your electric drill. Any time you need to turn a nut or bolt lots of times with low torque, this makes the job a snap.I combine mine with a allen wrench socket driver to make installing and removing my car’s rooftop bars fast and easy.
