purchased for anticipated future need. it’s a milwaukee consumable for a milwaukee power tool. It had better be awesome.

Well, what can I say…another quality part for another great, quality tool from Milwaukee. As an electrician, I use this band saw all the time. Just large enough and has the power for light or mid-range tasks, but is so lightweight and wieldy that I don’t know how I did without it before. These blades are perfect for cutting conduit, strut, and all-thread.

These blades will last about 3 months under heavy – medium use. I use them to mostly cut EMT, unistrut, and up to 500 KCMIL copper or aluminium electrical conductors. I am very happy with the bandsaw overall, just wish it could cut 1 5/8″ unistrut a litte easier.

This is a very nice M12 Band Saw but it has its short coming like it has a small throat opening. It will take up to 1 1/2 in pipe but to cut items such as a hex nut on a one-inch bolt, the guides don’t leave you enough room to cover only part of the nut. The sides of the throat also restrict one from cutting off small bolts and won’t let one get close enough sideways to cut the bolt off close to the nut. I used it to cut off 1/4 bolts on a set of side racks I was building.I wanted to look at a M18 Band Saw but Home Depot doesn’t carry them in the store.
