Obviously very sharp. You see a big difference once you switch the blade. It seems like there is less friction with this blade. Universal fit just make sure the circumference matches your saw as well as the inner piece that connects to your circular saw. Installation was very fast. Works on all types of wood and veneers. I have used many Milwaukee products and find them to be well made quality products. This 81/2 inch X 40 tooth general purpose circular saw blade did not disappoint me. The blade provides smooth cuts both with and across the wood grain with minimal residue build up. The expansion slots don’t end in a blunt manner which allow the blade to expand and contract without throwing the blade out of true. It is a fairly quiet blade and doesn’t burn the wood. There seems to be minimal friction when cutting. I recommend this blade and it is a good value.

MIlwauki saw blades always give me good service and stand up well, even with poor quality wood products. I just use as directed and keep them sharp. I used the general purpose blades for my deck project and it did a great job with pro results. These blade are also coated with something like an anti-stick layer that keeps them from gumming up like uncharted blade sometimes do with laminates and rough plywood.

I’m really happy with the quality and performance of this blade. I used this primarily to cut melamine boards, and each cut has been smooth and clean, with no chipping or tear-out. Blade is sturdy and doesn’t deflect, so as long as my saw it trued up, I know I’ll get an accurate cut. My only complaint is the shipping on this took fooorrreeeevvver.
