Milwaukee’s wood cutting, fine finish blades provide cleaner cuts and cutting efficiencies to improve your productivity. An ATB tooth pattern minimizes tearout in the cut material. An anti-friction coating keeps the blade cool while cutting and resists corrosion and gumming. Laser cutting technology creates the blade from 100% sheet steel to ensure a stable blade that increases cutting accuracy. 12 in. blades are ring tensioned to further stabilize the blade. Laser cut vibration slots minimize wobble and warping during use. A thin kerf design delivers faster cuts as well as more cuts per charge when using a cordless tool.
- Anti-friction coating

works like a hot knife thru butter. Very smooth cut without splintering.

So far saw has been great, looking forward to the next project to give it another test.

The blade came on the date I was told it would arrive which is always nice. I mounted the blade on may Hitachi chop saw and it cut wood like it was warm butter. Smooth, clean cuts and fast. So I amtotally satisfied with the blade I ordered and will undoubtedly order more as well as other things down the line.

This blade was easy to install on my miter saw and cut like butter! The price was reasonable (better than some other blades), only time will tell if this lasts as long as a pricier blade. I’ve used it on pine and oak so far and would plan to use this for “finish” cuts if it continues to perform like this. I also think this would work great on my next flooring installation project (laminate or vinyl plank).

This blade is SHARP. I am using it on a DeWalt 20 Volt battery saw and it slices through material with almost no effort. I got it for use in thin material like plywood and it does a great job with minimal splintering. It tracks straight and has a very narrow kerf. I have always bought top quality blades for use on my portable saw since it has less power than a corded saw. This blade seems to be as good or better than the other blades I have been using. It has relief slots to keep it from warping when it gets hot and has a nonstick/low friction coating. I am just glad that more manufacturers are coming out with 6 ½” blades for battery saws. Since this blade did so well in plywood I tried it out on 2×6 Douglass fir and it went through it without a hitch. I normally use a worm drive saw for framing work and I am either going to get the 7 1/4” version for my big saw or use the 6 ½” blades on the worm drive. Since these blades have a diamond knockout I could easily install them on a full size saw and only lose about 3/8” of cutting depth.

Great blade – cuts easily and leaves smooth surfaces. Perfect for the new M18 table saw.

I’m a trim carpenter for the past twenty years. One of the best blades for the money. I have tried a lot of them. Great product.

I have used 40 tooth 6.5″ circular saw blade from several manufacturer’s. This one certainly ranks as good as any of the ones that I have purchased. It installed on my saw without difficulty. It tracked very well. Even without some blue tape, the initial cuts were very smooth. I don’t recall seeing these blades for sale at Home Depot. I hope that they start carrying them. I like Milwaukee accessories very much. I have too much invested in other brands of cordless tools to make the switch at this point. There are times that I wish that I would have started with Milwaukee.

Nice blade, but did not fit my Milwaukee, to small arbor.

No. I needed a 3in blade.

This is the Milwaukee 48-40-1228, 12” by 100-tooth (Ultra Fine) standard kerf (1/8”) saw blade (note that the package nowhere states the kerf—I measured it. It’s strange that the Home Depot website calls it a “Thin kerf blade” in the description, which usually refers to a kerf less than 1/8”). It has an anti-friction coating and the vibration slots are filled with a polymer, supposedly to reduce vibrations even more than using just the slots. The tooth pattern is ATB (alternate-tooth bevel). Milwaukee claims that the blade can be used with softwoods, hardwoods, melamine, MDF, veneered plywood, paneling and moldings. It’s worth noting that the blade comes in an easy-open package. In Photo 1 you can see the perforations (in the plastic and cardboard) allowing you to open the package from the back quite easily. Before installing the blade on my 12”, non-sliding miter saw, I check it for flatness. Out of the package it was perfectly flat all across the blade. I installed the blade in my 20+ year-old miter saw (see Photo 2)—nothing makes an old saw work like new like a new blade. I was not disappointed, in fact, I came away quite impressed. I tested the blade on some very hard 2×6 White Oak. I hate to use that over-used phrase, “like a hot knife through butter,” but there’s no other way to describe it. And the cuts were clean. I really like this saw blade.

Using this on my Milwaukee battery powered mitre saw. Just trimmed an entire basement with it and it is still nice and sharp. So far so good.

A lot of times I work on projects like book shelves, work benches, and other things where a finer blade than the ‘framing’ type blade I normally use is necessary. The choice of the Milwaukee 40-tooth blade was a great choice. Whether cutting lumber, plywood, or MDF, it makes a very clean cut and does an excellent job. I got one for my circular saw and one for my table saw. Changing blades only takes a couple minutes, and was time and money well spent.
