   This 7 1/4 inch 70 tooth blade works great in my saw for cutting corrugated galvanized roofing and other sheet goods. The cut is clean and straight. The carbide teeth are all attached straight and securely. The 5/8 inch arbor fits tight in the blade so there is no wobble. Make sure to check the speed of your saw so the blade doesn’t exceed the recommended RPMs.

   Really impressed with this blade. It cuts really nice and smooth without heating up the metal I was cutting. I’m use to cutting with abrasive disks blades but those tend to leave a rough edge and a lot of heat with color discoloration at times. But these milwaukee metal cutting blades are a game changer and just all around a better way to cut thinner metals and softer metals. I really like how both the blade and the material stay cool after cutting and I can almost get factory finish on a good straight shot. Also the fact that it’s 7 1/4” which is the more common saw type used. I think I should use a slightly slowest rpm saw but it worked on great with two saws I used for it. Metal chips did fly out while cutting but I had some good eye protection on. The blade is still sharp after the cuts I did and I look forward to getting another one and use it on many other projects.

   I always cut my metal with an abrasive blade, It was messy and there was always the chance of starting a fire. But not any more. I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner. This blade is great for cutting most pores metals, stainless steel, plastic and aluminum. It is made to last and can be sharpened many times. This is a low speed blade with a maximum speed of 1800 RPM. So you need to make shore that your saw will not over speed the blade. I don’t know if you have seen a blade explode, but I have and you don’t want to be around. I hope this help with your decision and good luck with your project.

   I received my 14-in. x 90 tooth dry cut carbide tipped saw blade today, this blade is designed To cut light gauge metal including stainless steel.It fits my Milwaukee chop saw which has a 1-in. arbor. Unfortunately, I don’t have anythingOther than light sheet metal to try it out on, it works great on the sheet metal a nice smooth cut.Like all my other Milwaukee saw blades I have been happy with their quality.

   I installed this blade in my Milwaukee battery circular saw. As expected, the 5/8” arbor size was correct for my saw but there is no other option. I tested the 48-40-4240 blade and the chart on the back of the package lists the recommended and acceptable uses, plus unacceptable materials. This blade is only recommended for thin metal up to 3/32”. Can also be used on medium metal (1/8”-1/4”), aluminum, copper/brass, and plastic/fiberglass. There is no recommendation for wood, but it cut select pine cleanly. I tried cutting thin steel channel and the blade cut cleanly through. I also tried PVC pipe with similar results. The 70 tooth blade tips are cobalt infused tungsten carbide for long life. Laser cut grooves in the body of the blade help prevent blade warping during repeated use.

   I was a bit disappointed that the maximum RPM rating on this blade is 1800 because my chop saw runs at 3200. Since I don’t like to play or cut corners on safety, I called a friend who has a low speed saw and asked to try the blade on his saw. We played around with it cutting various scrap pieces like 3/16″ 1/4″ steel, some 3/4 EMT, and some copper pipe. I was impressed enough that I think I’ll get the proper saw to go with it. Whatever you do, always pay close attention to RPM ratings on all blades, grinding wheels and wire wheels.

   First off, you can expect anything made by Milwaukee to be a good, quality tool, and this blade is no exception. I got this to use in a corded, handheld saw; the package specifically recommends it for use in a cordless handheld saw, but it worked fine in my saw. I got it to cut some thin sheet metal for a project I was working on. I had some scrap sheet metal from a neighbor’s old furnace and wanted to reuse it to make a magnetic message board for my new in-home office. I found that my manual tin snips just weren’t up to the task because the metal was a bit too thick, but this blade cut right through it with not problem at all. Highly recommended for cutting through thin metal (up to 3/32′). The table on the package (see attached picture) shows other materials and thicknesses that this blade will cut. Very happy with its performance.

   I ordered and received a Milwaukee brand 7 ¼ inch 70 tooth thin metal saw blade for my cordless circular saw. This blade can also be used with a corded circular saw also (with a 5/8” arbor). I chose this blade for several reasons, it cuts cooler with no lubricant required, it cuts cleaner with its 70-tooth construction and can be used for cutting thin (up to 3/32”) aluminum, steel and most types of common metals. I also chose this blade because of the Milwaukee brand name as I have used several of their other circular saw blades and have always been satisfied with their quality and cut. Milwaukee is a trusted name that I would recommend to anyone due to my usage of this brand on many occasions.

    This Milwaukee 14 in. x 90 Tooth Dry Cut Carbide Tipped Circular Saw Blade is about as well made of a blade you can find. This blade does fit my chop saw, but please be aware that the blade is only rated for 1800rpm. Do not use if your saw spins faster than 1800rpm. I had no problem cutting thru galvanized pipe and 1/2 inch square aluminum tubes. Also I used the blade on a few wood cuts to see how it performs and got an amazingly clean, good looking cut. Worth the investment for you saw tool box and should last a long time with proper maintenance.

    This blade comes in an easy open box suitable for storage in a dry area. The blade is in an open plastic bag and has a guard around the circumference (all teeth). The recommended materials are mild steel, flat bar, angle iron, piping, tubing, commercial steel studs, and non-hardened threaded rod. What is NOT recommended is cast iron, aluminum, hardened/treated steel, re-bar, and non-mild steels. All-in-all it is a nice blade.
