Milwaukee has three different types of chargers for M18/M12 batteries. The standard one which is included with tools in some kits, a “RapidCharger”, and this “SuperCharger”. The SuperCharger is four times faster than the standard for the “HighOutput” batteries, but only twice as fast for the “HeavyDuty” batteries usually included with tool kits.Like the other chargers, it can charge both M18 and M12 batteries – there are different slots for each – but only one at a time, which surprised me. It will charge whichever battery you inserted first, and once that is done, switch to the other. The status light for the respective battery will slowly blink red as it is waiting. The charger has a fan that runs during charging – it starts fairly loud and then quiets down.Like the other chargers, there are keyhole slots 4 inches apart on the back for wall mounting.I used it for charging both M18 and M12 batteries, and it did indeed do so faster than the standard charger.

This charged my depleted 12.0 ah battery in less than 60minutes. The battery was cooled off prior to charging it , for testing purposes I ran my fan until the battery died and then I charged it up a few hours later with this charger. This supercharger is mainly for the M18 XC batteries(12.0, 6.0, and 8.0) you will benefit the most if you have those batteries, if you have the other batteries you would be better off getting the rapid charger due to the price difference. This will not charge the M12’s any faster than the rapid charger. The fan for this charge is not loud at all. Once the battery is fully charged, the fan will shut off. I have several of the 12.0’s and I use them frequently so this charger really comes in handy for me.

Nice looking and well made charger for all 12 volt and 18 volt Red-lithium batteries. Quality and durability are typical of a product from a brand that is known for well made tools. The Milwaukee super charger is a lot bigger than a standard charger and on the heavy side but if it works as well as advertised I can get use to the differences. This super charger is listed as charging high output M18 batteries ( XC 6.0,XC8.0 and HD12.0 ) four times faster then standard chargers that come with tool kits, combo kits, etc. Right now I own only XC5.0 batteries but have been planning on getting a XC8.0 battery and a RAPID charger. The XC5.0 batteries charge up fully in about an hour which gets me back to my projects faster. The new M12 XC4.0 battery and CP2.0 battery that came with the M12 FUEL SURGE 2 tool combo kit charged in about 45 minutes and 25 minutes respectively. The charger has a fan that keeps the charger and batteries cooler during charging which is a really nice feature and status lights for each battery port. As with other Milwaukee chargers there are key hole slots on back for wall mounting. I was a little surprised that both the 12 volt and 18 volt batteries can not be charged at the same time. ( which ever battery is placed on charger first gets charged and once fully charged the charger charges second battery ) but there is only a few occasions that I can see myself using both 12 volt and 18 volt tools at the same time so sequential charging does not bother me. I am very pleased with the performance of this charger so far and see no issues in the years to come.

The Milwaukee M12 and M18 12-Volt/18-Volt Lithium-Ion Multi-Voltage Super Charger Battery Charger takes my 12 amp hour High Output batteries and ramps up a full charge…Quick (less than an hour). The regular Rapid Charge Milwaukee High Demand and XC 18V battery chargers would take around 2 hours.Even my M18 High Demand and XC 9.0 and 5.0 amp hour batteries charge a little faster on this super charger…very nice!

Another great Milwaukee tool! I love my Milwaukee 12 and 18-Volt cordless tools. In fact, I have become quite spoiled with them, and this Milwaukee Super Charger looks to be icing on the cake. This one is Optimized for the newer HIGH OUTPUT batteries, which take some power to charge. I have several “Standard” chargers and a “Rapid Charger”, all of which work great. I only use my tools for jobs around the house, (and vehicles), so I don’t need to invest in too many batteries. However, when they do get used, especially with the grinder and other high usage tools, I don’t want to wait around for them to recharge. And this thing is much faster with all of my batteries. It is much larger and heavier than the others, but that is not surprising given that it puts out so much charging power. Like all Milwaukee tools this is going to be very good to have around. My contractor sons can certainly make use of one of these Super Chargers.

This charger is an absolute beast with the new high output batteries. Before I get really into the review of the charger I would like to note to anyone looking into investing in this charger to first make sure you have high output batteries. If you do not have a high output battery then you are not going to see a change in charge time versus the rapid charger. However, if you have upgraded to the high output batteries especially the HD12.0 this charger is a must. Milwaukee’s claim is that the charger can charge a 12.0 battery in 60 minutes as room temperature and that is pretty accurate. I had one charge go just under 60 minutes right around 59 minutes and then charged another 12 that took about 62 minutes. Either way if you are charging a dead 12.0 to full charge in about an hour that is an amazing feat. I also like that the batteries and charger run cooler than the Rapid Charger or Standard Charger while charging which is super nice to know that you reduce the risk of overheating your battery and frying the electronics inside. I will note that to be able to do this the Super Charger is about twice the length of a Rapid Charger. This is because there is an internal cooling fan within the charger. Overall I think this charger is worth the investment. You are going to save time charging those high output batteries and i honestly think this charger will do more to protect your battery from overheating while charging.

This Super Charger claims to charge M12 and M18 up to 4 times faster than the regular charger which is included in many kits. I have only M12 tools, so I can’t comment on the ability to charge M18 batteries. I didn’t get 4X speeds, but this thing definitely charges faster that the standard unit. I’d say more than 2 times but less than 3 times the speed. Indicator lights are explained in a little graphic right on the charger, so you don’t need to refer to the book, which explains the light sequence in more detail.

If you go through several batteries during the day or just want a faster charger, this is the one to have, especially if you use the high output batteries. I really like the layout of this charger, as it doesn’t seem as busy. It will recharge both the M12 and the M18. It recharges the first battery put into place and when it has charged, the second battery begins charging. It recharged my XC8.0 in less than an hour, which is a lot faster than the standard charger does and the XC5.0 at about one hour, so, big difference in the higher capacity batteries. You can’t beat that. The charger will sense batteries that are too hot or too cold and will adjust charging accordingly to protect the battery. It’s easily mountable, like the others. The cord is just over six feet in length. This charger comes with a five year warranty.

Iv’e seen this thing bring a T-1000 back to life after it was melted down into a pile of mush!!!! Furthermore I can charge all of my M18 HD7000’s Mega SAWZALLS for chopping up T-800’s, hydro bots and so on……
