The charger accepts all M12 and M18 batteries, so you’ll always be prepared, especially on jobs that require a mix of M12 and M18 Milwaukee cordless power tools. This versatile unit charges batteries sequentially, reducing your time to manage charge cycles. You can power up your Milwaukee compact batteries in 30 minutes and extended capacity batteries in 60 minutes. It communicates directly with the battery to monitor cell voltage, temperature and charge status to ensure a full charge. The M18 REDLITHIUM XC extended capacity battery is designed with superior pack construction, electronics and performance to optimize work per charge and work over pack life.

The battery and charger are a nice set that come as one. I don’t know if I would call it a starter pack, as it doesn’t come with a tool.This will charge multiple battery types of Milwaukee batteries. the only downside is that you can only charge 1 at a time.The M18 battery comes with a cool light display that will show you the amount of charge left on the battery. press the little button on the battery to see the charge. this battery shipped at 50% charge and took about 45 minutes to full charge. 90 minutes for full charge which is accurate to what the packaging states. there is also a light on the charger to tell you when the battery is fully charged.All in all this is a great battery and charger pack, with some convenient features that take the guess work out of how much charge is left in the battery.

bought this item not too long ago and just found out defective. Doesn’t hold charge for more than 3 mins. So ironic this came for a review. I will be contacted Home Depot for return or exchange.

Finally a charger for both my batteries. Nice having one charger for both 12V and 18V, slowly cleaning my work bench. The extra 18V battery was a nice addition as well. Charging times seem to take as long as old single battery chargers, at least now I can do 2 at once.

I liked the idea of the dual voltage battery charger. I only have to carry one charger in my truck now. I hope this new battery works as well as the ones that came in the tools that I use.I mostly liked that the price for charger & battery were the same as just a battery from my wholesale house that I originally purchaced my tools from.
