I’ve been using the same batteries for almost 5 years. I’m an electrician and use them daily. I also have the 2.0 and 4.0 batteries as well which do last longer of course. Most of the time these are plenty powerful for what I ask of them. I use them in my hammer drill, impact, Sawzall, multi tool and circular saw and they do the job just fine. No issues with charging them ever. It’s too bad others have had bad luck because I’ve hade zero issues with all the m12 tools.

Powerful little 1.5 Ah batteries for DIY work. These are great because they keep your M12 tool light so you can perform quick jobs easier like drill pilot holes for shelves or cabinets, driving a dozen screws, and so on. Even the M12 impact driver has pretty powerful torque with this little battery. Overall, good battery for quick jobs but obviously larger renovations and projects will need more capacity to keep going through the day.

Have been using M12 since it came out, and have collected many versions of this charger. Older units won’t charge newer batteries fully without re-inserting batteries (lower time-out). No way to differentiate by model number. And NONE have had a pass-through cord end like description says.

Review from a DIYer.I used this with the gen 2 Hammerdrill to drive 20 5/16″ holes in 2×12 lumber. Worked well, no problems, did not bog down. I had the 2 and 4ah batteries on hand and I did not have to use them due to the 1.5ah battery not having enough oomph to power through

I work in construction and I’m a serious DIYer. These things have been dropped off of ladders multiple times (and my roof once). I can’t believe the roof drop directly to asphalt only cracked the black case. For the size, these things run forever too! Don’t expect them to be as long running as their big brothers. It’s not their job. Not to mention they recharge insanely fast.

I have several of these that came with kits.Charges the standard batteries pretty fast. But, that’s because they are low capacity. Wish it had voltage, charge time, and other data display. Having more data will help you determine the condition of your batteries. For $50, I would expect those features.Other than that, its a pretty simple and straightforward charger.
