Milwaukee chisels are made from high grade, forged steel, providing up to 20% longer life. Tile chisels are ideal for removing tile, laminate and other composite material. Tiles chisels can be used for concrete applications. The angled, offset head design and extended tip allow for flush surface material removal. This chisel is specifically designed for SDS Plus rotary hammers and should be used in hammer only mode.

I chose this bit because I needed to remove about 15 sq. feet of floor tile in a bathroom. I have a SDS MAX Rotary hammer drill which means I needed an adapter to go from SDS max to SDS+ , see pictures below. The description says it’s a “6 in.” but the actual package says 6.5 in. With the vanity and commode removed and with the added length of the adapter and weight of the drill, 21+ pounds, I was amazed how quickly it busted up the old tile. I did use a couple of other bits, SDS Max style, on some rough spots. I will only use Milwaukee bits as they are made from a higher grade forged steel, compared to inferior bits that can get hot and can seize up and get stuck in the drill chuck. Fifteen square feet is not a big area but when done the edge looked the same as when I stated. Gloves, knee pads, safety glasses and a good mask are the only other thing you need.

I was removing tile in my latest renovation with my Bulldog Xtreme 1-1/2 in. x 10 in. SDS-Plus Hammer chisel (Model # HS1465 – highly recommend) and the prior owner glued down the tile backer board and it wasn’t sharp/angled enough to get it off. This chisel did the job!

Good tool for removing tile.It could be cheaper, but it’s not 100$ like the Bosch chisel.

I was using it to remove a top layer of concrete that hadn’t secured well to the underlying concrete. It did the job well.

I bought this chisel to remove mortar left behind from a tile removal job that was incomplete. It really surprised me how well it worked. I had used several different narrower chisels and ended up digging into the slab more than I wanted. This chisel finishes the job with much less digging in.

Worked perfectly to remove tile. Made the job so easy. Also used it to scrape up the left over mortar residue. I actually purchased the Milwaukee scraper and this chisel bit actually did a better job.
