The drill bits have QUADEDGE TIP to decrease heat buildup and drill faster. Throw this in a drill press and it cuts through steel like it’s aluminium. Does well with a cordless drill as well. Doesn’t wander much. So far has lasted way longer than a normal junk carbide or titanium coated bit. For metal drilling I’m going cobalt from now on, the price is worth it.

bit works great slow speed, we drill 15-20 sheets of steel roofing at a time 20 holes each sheet. lots of drilled feet by the end of the day. not the best bits in the world but will certainly work great if you know how to take care of them during use.

The best type of drill bit I use to work on stainless steel, the only bad point about them is that they are very fragile and break at the first mistake made during a manual drilling operation, but using correctly , they are the best!

These are the best bits I have ever used. They last through many uses on heavy steel. (I recommend going slow, and putting a drop of oil on the tip every 30-60 seconds.) I used this bit to drill 10 holes thru 1/4” steel, then thru a bunch of rivets, and it is still sharp!

I bought this to drill through a metal plate that I could not see inside a brick wall. It did not go through. I tried it on some scrape metal and it went through clean and fast so not sure why. The other issue was I bought a Milwaukee bit extender to reach through the wall and this bit would not in fit the 1/4 inch holder.
