I know these “unibit” like tools often have a bad wrap. However, I like these bits far better than augers for plastic panels and similar, as they don’t dig and bind in soft materials, and always leave a clean hole. Works as a de-burring tool on back side if needed. Also used to enlarge an existing hole in an aluminum fitting – worked like a charm. Expensive, but its Milwaukee quality, it’ll definitely earn its keep in my toolbox.

I have a steel frame home, and used this bit to drill holes in the studs to run electrical lines. This bit penetrated and bored through 16 gauge steel with little difficulty and held up well.

The bit did what I needed it to do, drill a hole varying in size. The price is very expensive but I could not do the job without it.
