This step drill bit is a very handy tool if you do any type of electrical or plumbing work. I used it to drillout/widen a hole in an electrical panel to run conduit for an additional line. Also used it to drill out a hole from 3/8″ to 7/16″ hole so I could use a larger bolt. Seems to hold up well and has not lost its edge. I have this one in my truck tool box.

There are many ways to use this bit. Ranging from 3/8” to ½” it can be used from enlarging holes to countersinking screw heads. The bit is sharp so it will go through the material quickly. I have run it through several different types of wood from pine to oak even some cardboard and each one the bit could clear the material from the bit. I see many applications for this bit. I would recommend this bit.
