These are very fast step drill bits that do not need a pilot hole oh, I was able to drill holes in thick stainless steel, including kitchen sinks, with ease, and they turned out perfectly

I was well pleased with the performance of the step bits overall . The larger of the two got dull about half way up forcing me to use the smaller to expand the pilot hole past that size but other than that , they work great . I’ve drilled about 20 5/8 holes in 1/2 steel so far with them and they are still cutting .
