Very good and versatile set of step bits. You can’t go wrong with the purchase.

These are the coolest drill bits I own! I only needed the larger size step drill bit but this was such a good deal for a nice carry case too.

Great tool should come with 5/8

I bought this drill bit to install a new lock set on a 1/8″ think aluminum door. I had tried my other bits to drill a hole with very little success. This drill bit went through it with minimum effort creating a clean hole. Would definitely recommend.

Have never used a step drill before until, so this was a new experience. The Milwaukee step drill made enlarging a hole in a metal mounting plate like cutting butter with a warm knife. Great product. Highly recommend!

The step drills are great, and the set is a god value. I read that some people have had durability issues using them on stainless, but so far, I have only used them on mild steel and aluminum sheet, none thicker than 12 Gauge. For this purpose, they cut like razors, with minimal burring. The black oxide bits are the typical throwaways. They are sharper than other cheapies I have purchased, but they are in sizes that are probably not worth sharpening. I will just replace them with better as I use them up. The case is nice, also. I just wish there was enough room for a big 1-1/8″ step bit.

The drill set is good to do the job, I’ve bought this set a few times. I drill a lot of 1/4 rolled steel with a battery powered drill. I average around 40 holes per bit on the step bits. The straight bits I sharpen and they hold an edge If you are using this for light steel it should last a long time.
