The Milwaukee 49-16-2553 tool boot is for use with the M12 FUEL 1/4 in. Impact Driver and Impact Wrench (2553-20 & 2552-20) only. This product provides a lightweight, durable solution that is meant to protect the tool and work surface. A durable rubber design will withstand corrosive materials commonly found in maintenance environments. Not for use on or near live electrical circuits. Use on any other product may result in damage to tool motor and may void tool warranty.

Great addition to a great impact tool – only drawback is that it won’t fit in the hard plastic case once the tool boot is on. That said, if you got the impact without the case, it’s a must have to keep your tool protected. Tool boot is moderately challenging to put on, so I wouldn’t suggest taking it on and off regularly.

Nice fit and protected it very well when I dropped it off a 6′ ladder. It did how ever eject the battery like 4 feet away but boot saved the imact from damage at that height.
