The Milwaukee M12 FUEL Protective Boot is for use with the 3/8 in. Ratchet (2557-20). This ratchet boot provides a lightweight, durable solution to protect the 3/8 in. ratchet tool and work surface. The durable rubber design will withstand corrosive materials commonly found in maintenance environments. Not for use on or near live electrical circuits. Use on any other product may result in damage to tool motor and may void the tool warranty.

Nice that it fits pretty well. It’s a bit of fight to get it on. Putting a little oil or grease on the inside to get it on should help make it easier.The boot does move a little when the ratchet mechanism goes back and forth. But the boot helps to prevent dings and dents. Nicer when it cold to

The protective rubber boots are a nice addition to my investments. I don’t think twice anymore when setting my tools on rough surfaces or cramming them into tight spots that might even be sharp. I was hesitant on the first purchase but, the rubber is extremely heavy duty. Great job Home Depot!

I think this is definitely a requirement for this tool. It protects the tool and surfaces, it seals the meachanisms from foreign objects and it makes the tools slightly quieter. It it’s a bugger to get on but that means it’s going to fit perfectly.

The boot fits well and protects the tool’s ratcheting head. The only problem I have with any of the 4 boots that I have purchased for my (Milwaukee Fuel) tools collection is the absurd prices. It is a simple molded piece of rubber. Some other manufacturers list their boots at half the price of these over priced boots. I want to protect the tool, but when the tool itself cost $140.00 plus tax, I think $22.00 plus tax is a bit much for a piece of molded rubber. Make it $12.00 and I would give it 5 stars. Better yet …..include the boot with the purchase of the tool. Maybe when the newness wears off and the competition create an equal line of tools the price will drop. Time will tell. By the way…..The (Milwaukee Fuel) tool line up is 5 star!

Boot is a must have!!! Fits power tools very well! Was tight to slip on because of ratchet head size vs shaft size but once you get around it fits like a glove!
