The Milwaukee 49-16-2754 Tool Boot is for use with Milwaukee M18 FUEL Compact Impact Wrenches, Models 2654-20, 2655-20, and 2655B-20 only. Not for use on or near live electrical circuits. Use on any other product may result in damage to tool motor and may void tool warranty.

My m18 fuel impact (love it to death by the way) is a very solid impact drill. I’ve dropped it off my ladder several times, up to as high as about 12 feet. It has plenty of scrapes and a few dents, but it has never once had any issues. And I put a good 50 hours of use per week on it, and after about 7 months still running strong. So this raises the question, does it really need any added protection?Here’s the deal. I try to not drop my drill, but it happens on occasion. Hopefully I never push it past 12 feet (prefer not past 4) but if it does, I would have a little more confidence with this boot on, then without it. The metal body on the drill I don’t see caving in, however this will hold the pieces from separating.For those wearing a toolbelt or using a tool bag, who are concerned about extra volume/weight, don’t worry this adds very, very little. With that said, the chance of saving a 300$ impact drill from complete obliteration with a cheap (and stylish) black boot, I would highly recommend this product.
