I had to pick up one of these Gen 2 Milwaukee M18 fuel 3/8 compact impact wrench protective boot to protect my investment.When it was delivered to my house it came in a sturdy box and packed with air pouches to protect the item and I’m happy to say there was no damage.The protective boot is made of an shock-absorbing rubber and black and color. On the right side of the boot it has Milwaukee fuel logo on it and on the back side of the boot it says fuel brushless. The rubber boot also has 6 vents slots built into the rubber boot so the tool can breathe and keep cool. The boot itself is 4- 1/4 in. Long and 2- 1/2 in. Wide.I’m really happy I picked this item up it protects my impact wrench when I set it down and it falls over the rubber boot exorbs the shock and it protects the tool from damage and scratches it also helps me have a better grip on the tool.This Milwaukee protective boot is a must-have if you own the impact wrench I recommended 100%

Milwaukee M18 FUEL GEN-2 Compact Impact Wrench Rubber Protective Boot model 49-16-2854This boot fits M18 Fuel GEN-2 Compact Impact Wrench Models beginning with 2854, 2855, 2855P. Doesn’t fit any other models. I have a few other protective rubber boots on my other Milwaukee tools and I highly recommend putting boots on anything you can get them for. They go on tight and stay put and really protect your tool from scraps and even damage if you drop them. Evenly as important, they protect what you’re working on by keeping you from scratching paint off of say your fender if for instance you’re working on your car with it. For the money it’s a great investment for your Milwaukee Compact impact wrenches.

A very nice looking and well-constructed protective boot. Definitely does the job to protect the wrench from scuffs, scrapes, and any corrosive drips that you might encounter, and once you get it onto the tool, it stays put! That *may* be because this boot was acquired for a tool it does not technically fit, which is fine, and to be fair to the product, I won’t evaluate it on those terms. This is definitely a nice cover worth getting (provided it fits what you’ve got!)
