   This product is extremely specific and if you don’t work with large electrical cables this might be for you. I needed it for a job I was working on with my electrical uncle and we needed to crimp some cables in a pull box. It worked so well. We needed to use this product and I liked how well it worked. I recommend how this would work for future products.

   I have using a perfectly usable dinosaur for the connection of wires for many a year and I did not realize that the crimping of cables had progressed so far in advance, but these Milwaukee dies have certainly taken over from using my old crimp. So much easier on the hands. The Stainless Steel Finish is excellent and with the M18 Force Logic Crimper, (not supplied with this kit) it makes for a very easy and faultless secure bond. The quality of the die and the crimping jaw is what I would have expected from such a renowned company and did not disappoint me. In these times with more consideration given for employee’s health and safety, changing practices by using the new Milwaukee MCM copper die set is a given. All dies are all clearly marked with what diameter wire they are each for, as well as color-coded. This kit comes with a substantial high-impact plastic box and has a clevis pin service kit included.

   This is a replacement part, not a stand-alone crimping tool. It is a component of a sophisticated, professional Milwaukee M18 FORCE LOGIC, 6-ton, 600 MCM battery powered hydraulic crimper tool (2679-20). In addition to the tool (that is equipped with and initial set of jaws), suitable sized “U” style dies must be purchased separately. The replacement jaw kit does come with one 750 MCM die suitable for both copper and aluminum. Dies as small as #8 are also available as a set or individually. Primarily, this tool is for commercial, utility, and industrial use.

   We already have the Milwaukee corless MCM crimper with a few dies, but we needed the 750 size and the jaws were kind of worn out. So, it was a easy decision to get this kit with jaw and 750 die.They come in a sturdy box (like most Milwaukee tools) and the box has space for extra dies.The die works perfectly and the jaws create 6 tons of crimping pressure.

   This Milwaukee crimping jaw used alongside the Milwaukee Force Logic Crimping Gun will allow the most accurate way produce cULus classified crimps on commercial and industrial cables. This is a specialty tool created solely for the electrical trades. You will also need the 2679-20, M18™ Force Logic™ 600 MCM Crimper sold separately along with dies based upon the crimp types you plan on creating. Suggestion is to purchase the complete crimping die kit as individual dies purchased a la carte can be extremely expensive. While there are less expensive crimpers out in the market this Milwaukee creates beautifully finished crimps even by newly certified electricians.

It is easy to switch the jaw in the Force Logic crimper by removing the single pin. The jaws hold the connector with a single hand for easy and simple one man operation.     750 MCM Crimping JawThis tool is made for use the M18 Force Logic 600 MCM Crimper (2679-20). It is not something for every day Jo it is made for commercial uses.These crimpers are made of Hi quality of material and I can see this tool to be used on high voltage transformers, switches, bus bars, backup generators and etc. with heavy gauge cable. Personally I never have doubt in Milwaukee tools. This one is packed so nicely and tight that I can’t see it being damaged by dropping the box. It is most balanced and lightest weight tool on the market that I know and you can operate with one hand.I remember me working at the generator company when we have to crimp 4 AVG wire we would have to work in pairs one person holding pneumatic tool and the cable other person and there is risk of lousing the finger if you are not careful. I was not able to do by myself because the cable was attached to generator and the pneumatic tool was possible about 35Lb back than it was the heavy task to do by your-self, this tool make big difference and I can do it by myself.Color coding the size it is smart and it also in print the size of the cable on the crimped terminal.

This tool is designed to be used with the M18 Force Logic 600 MCM crimper. Its proprietary jaw holds the connector in the proper location for quick easy alignment. The stainless steel finish is made to last a lifetime. The wire size is marked on each die for easy identification and the die will imprint the wire size on the connector after it has been crimped. Easy ID for the personal using it and the electrical inspector. Highly recommend this cutting edge tool.
