The Milwaukee Hole Dozer with Carbide Teeth is a high quality set of hole saws. It definitely lives up to the brand name. This set includes 8 saws from 7/8” through 2 1/2” with two arbors, two extra pilot bits and an allen wrench. The smaller arbor will fit the 3 smaller diameter saws (7/8”, 1” and 1 1/8”) and will fit into a 3/8” drill. The larger arbor for the larger saws (1 3/8” through 2 1/2”) will require drill with a 1/2” chuck. The larger arbor has an easy to operate locking mechanism to secure the saw. The carbide teeth will allow cutting through much harder material without damage. The set comes in a heavy duty plastic box that stores each part in their place. The set is made in the USA.This set should give many years of service without any issues. One feature that I am very pleased with is what is called the Plug Jack T-slots. On many of the other brands of hole saws one of the hardest thing to do is extract the plug from the saw after cutting through. These slots enable the insertion of a screwdriver or similar device under the plug and easily pop them out. These also cut to a depth of 1.62” allowing a clean hole in 1 1/2” lumber. This has been a great addition to my tools by finally giving me a quality set of hole saws, and I would highly recommend them.

MANY FEATURES; OFFSET TEETH — The Milwaukee Hole Dozer Carbide Hole Saw Set (13-Piece) is in many ways superior to my previous hole saws: 50X life vs. 2X; well-designed case vs. saws jumbled in my tool box. The quick change arbors are easy to use. The compact case is exceptionally well-designed to store the eight hole saws, two arbors, two spare drill bits and the hex wrench to adjust or change the drill bits. The inside top of the case is padded so that the teeth on the hole saws are not damaged. Having eight hole saws in one place makes it likely that you will have the size that you need. The four smaller hole saws have their sizes marked on the side and the bottom; the four larger ones have their sizes marked on the side. Six of the eight hole saws have offset (misaligned) teeth. Milwaukee says this was done intentionally to grip the surface and cut into it better. To me, this seems to impede rather than enhance the cut. All of my previous hole saws have their teeth aligned in a perfect circle. After several cuts, the teeth were still as sharp as when new. The plug is easily removed on material less than 1″. For material greater than 1″, it is better to use the two-sided method or stop half way through and remove the plug before continuing. It is made in the USA of global products. The teeth have a limited lifetime warranty against breaking. RPM instructions are included for drilling in metal.

I really like this set. I wanted to install wiring for security system and this set did great easily cut through a variety of wood depths but I have not had the opportunity to use it on metal yet. It is a great set for my home projects. the Teeth are large and sharp and make clean holes with attached to my Milwaukee drill. The variety of hole sizes and their quality construction should make this a well used set for my home projects.

This Milwaukee Hole Dozer Saw Set is great for drilling holes in both wood and metal surfaces. The hole saw’s teeth are carbide and carry a lifetime warranty. The kit includes 2 shanks that each hold one of the 4 pilot drill bits and one of the 8 hole drill bits. The hole saws range in size from 7/8″ to 2 1/2″. The hole saws screw on and lock onto the shanks. I have drilled holes in 2″ wood with ease. The hard plastic carry case secures the pieces inside and is a real bonus. This set is high quality and I recommend it.

This is a really tough built set. The individual saw blades are quite thick and won’t warp on you like cheaper models. The set comes with two arbors, one for the smaller blades and one with additional support for the thicker ones. It also has replacement drill bits. Mounting the blades on the arbors is easy and even without tools they hold together well. I have not had this set for long and only drilled a few holes with it so I don’t know how long the blades will hold but for now they are really sharp and drill clean holes.

Had to cut two 1” holes in 3/16” steel. Used cutting oil. The second hole went as easily as the first and I can tell it would’ve cut more holes no problem. Don’t know how many holes I could’ve done before failure, but I can say I doubt a bi-metal hole saw would’ve gotten through even one hole.

We are getting ready to remodel the house and enclose our carport. This will come in very handy. The price was right too …. it was a deal of the day …. just too good to pass up.

So far so good, I only made a few 2½” holes for pipe through 2×6’s. I hope they last because they’re fairly expensive

The Milwaukee carbide 12 piece hole set exceeded expectations. It cut hole in wood like a hot knife through butter and efficiently/quickly correct holes through metals.

The carbide kit is so much better than the normal bimetal kit it’s not even a contest. I have been abusing these things going through metal and drywall and they all look like they stil have brand new teeth. I also think milwaukee changed the coating on them cause they don’t leave colored residue on the sides of the finished holes anymore

This is a great set of hole saws. What I use them for is a little different than what most people use them for, but I do a lot of wooden toy building with wooden wheels of different sizes. It was always a hassle to use my adjustable cutter to make different size wheels for a toy. These hole saw makes it super easy and accurate every time. Just a matter of exchanging blades to make different sizes. The wheels are easy to remove from the blades just by unscrewing the blade from the center drill and slide out. Gives me a nice clean cut with the axle hole dead center, only thing left to do is sand them a little and stain and ready to go on the toy.

Milwaukee Dozer 8 Piece Carbide Teeth Hole Saw KitGotta Love Milwaukee! This kit is basic with only 4 Carbide teeth hole saw blades, (7/8”, 1-1/2”, 2” and 2-1/2”) two arbors and 4 drill bits but the included cool looking case has room to expand the kit. The included blades will get you a good start at a reasonable price. You can then purchase additional hole saw blades as needed, with room in the case for storage of those new blades. The case is a well made durable molded plastic case with a quality hinge, nice handle and smooth working sliding latch that keeps the case closed and prevents the blades from getting damaged. The carbide teeth on these hole saw blades are very sharp and they cut through the plywood I was using with ease. The sides of the round blades have openings that make removing the waste material easier. I used a flat blade screwdriver. Quick Change Arbors makes changing the blade on the arbor quick and easy. I really like this set and the bright red Milwaukee case makes it easy to find my hole saws when I need them. I would highly recommend this hole saw starter set to anyone who is looking to drill large holes.

These carbide tipped hole saws work well on wood AND metal which is a plus compared to standard hole saws that are designed to cut softer materials like wood, drywall and plastic. I was drilling a hole for a surveillance camera mount with a flat blade spade drill when I hit a nail. I switched to this Milwaukee hole saw and completed the cut with little effort. Because of the nail, I destroyed the cutting edge on the spade drill but did no damage to the hole saw blade. I’m glad I got this set and will be adding additional saw sizes. The case makes it easy and convenient to keep all saws and mandrels in one location.

This is the first set of high-quality holesaw‘s that I’ve ever owned, my previous versions were cheap knock offs that came from the freight store. The plastic box is super well-made with a great handle and case for easy storage. I like that it comes with two different size of pilot bit housings to accommodate the smaller and larger hole saws and especially the larger one for fitting into my larger electric drill.I mainly use these four finished holes into countertops for cabling grommets and finished wood for the same. The saws don’t tear up the word too terribly bad (if taped) and make for a nice clean hole into finished woodwork. They seem to cut through harder woods like Maple and Oak fairly easily. Very happy with the overall quality and the quality of cuts that I’m getting from the saws.

This is a very complete, very high quality hole saw set. It comes with 2 arbors, one each for large and small hole saws. The saws are easy to install on the arbors and feel very secure. With the small saws, I found that I needed to use a wrench to remove the saw after making several cuts. I used these with an older (non-brushless) 18V makita compact drill and it had no problem spinning the largest (2 1/2″) saw through 2x material at high speed. The coating seems very durable, showing only minor wear after making 6 cuts in 2x material and 2 through a steel-clad exterior door. The blade stayed as sharp as new through this and cutting didn’t slow at all. The set comes with 2 replacement pilot bits, which will probably come in handy if you use in material other than wood. As a homeowner, I will probably never need another hole saw set. I have previously gone through a few 2 1/8″ saws drilling door knobs, and their quality didn’t even approach this.

Have had several of these kits in the years as a DIYer, but this seems to be the best so far.Plastic box contains the saws in an orderly fashion, has space for additional smaller than 7/8th saws, and the locking mechanism is sturdy as this bounces around the back of my truck.Past sets were not painted, and as these are white painted, there is a residue buildup the first few times the drills are used.Saws are easy to attach / remove with the supplied tool. May be difficult if the same saw is used for a long time and gets jammed in the locking mechanism. The only negative I saw was that for 6 of the 8 saws there were bulging teeth at the weld site. I used a plier to set them back and there was no discernable issue with the hole cutting.
