Milwaukee Dozer Hole Saw Set. 16 pieces. 11 hole saws from 3/4 in. to 2 1/2 in. 2 arbors and 3 pilot bits. The pilot bits are adjustable within the arbors, using the supplied allan wrench. Nice size selection. I use mine for various craft projects, like wheels (plugs) for toy cars. I’d recommend placing a scrap piece of lumber beneath your workpiece to prevent breakage as the saw exits the workpiece. The plug needs to be pried out but easily done with a screwdriver. Each saw is marked with its size, but they could be a little darker to make it easier to read. I used a dark colored pencil to fill in the markings to make them darker. Comes with a list of drill speeds for various saw sizes and metal materials. Would be nice to have the same for various types of wood.

I acquired this Milwaukee Hole Dozer Hole Saw Set to replace a hole saw set that I purchased more than 30 years ago. I was surprised that these Milwaukee saws are made from flat steel that is rolled and welded together. My old saws were much more precise because they are made in one piece with no welded seams. The welds on two of the Milwaukee saws were sloppy; the tooth nearest the weld on the 1 3/8” saw was protruding out and had to be bent into alignment with the other teeth. The tooth nearest the weld on the 1” saw was out of alignment and had to be ground down. I tried filing the out of alignment tooth with a standard file, but the metal was too hard to be filed. I had to grind it with a rotary grinder. This tells me that the saws are made from hardened steel—this is surely a positive attribute. I drilled several holes into various hardwoods with the Milwaukee hole saws after correcting the issues with the teeth on the 1 3/8” and 1” saws. The saws performed very well; they cut quickly and caused very little tear out when the saw exited the wood. I plan to use the saws only on wood and want to keep them as sharp as possible; therefore I did not drill any holes into metal. The quick release on the large arbor is a nice feature on the larger saws. The set comes with a very nice case, an extra pilot bit, and even an allen wrench to change the pilot bit on the arbor. I would recommend the Milwaukee Hole Dozer for the DIYer. I also recommend checking the saws for anomalies that may need some simple corrections before using.

I’ve already reviewed this. I wish this website worked properly. But I guess it is what it is. These are nice hole saws. They cut well and are well packaged. The bits thread onto the mandrels which is different from what I am used to and work well. The biggest mandrel also has pins to transmit torque. Speed guidelines for cutting metal are included

Milwaukee Hole DozerPros: Professional quality tool, sturdy plastic carrying case, 11 hole saws.Cons: No instructions for attaching and removing hole saws (assumes user is experienced and knows how to do this). What I like about this set is the obvious quality of the tools. The tooth design of the hole saws is such that it prevents breaking of the material being sawn. The coating of the hole saws allows for smooth cutting without hang-ups. The pilot bit screws securely onto the hole saw and then clicks securely into guide holes by pushing the arbor into the back of the hole saw. The entire set is stored securely in a sturdy, plastic carrying case. The set comes with a spare pilot bit and an allen key for removing the arbor. The hole I cut was done quickly and the edges were cut cleanly. The set also comes with recommended rpm’s for the different size hole saws. Finally, I like the hexagonal shank that can fit a 3/8” portable drill or a bench drill. What I don’t like about the set is that it doesn’t come with instructions for attaching the hole saw to the arbor. In the end, I was able to get the hole saw attached and detached from the arbor but the process was not exactly obvious.Highly recommended.

Milwaukee a name that is known for quality not quantity in the construction industry. Tools made in “THE GOOD OLD USA” that stand up to the rigors of everyday use and warranty on their tools that is one of the best, if not the best in the industry. This Milwaukee Hole Dozer 16 piece hole saw kit comes with two quick change arbors for the smaller hole saws and a larger arbor for the larger hole saws. Milwaukee labels this set as the Hole Dozer right so because they really dig-in to multi-materials. From cement to steel, the “Rip Guard” tooth design prevents breaking. One of the best warranties in the industry guaranteeing against tooth breakage for a limited lifetime warranty. It all goes back to ” You Get What You Pay For”. With Milwaukee’s “Thermoset Coating” makes it one of the fastest cutting hole saws in the industry. I can’t say enough how satisfied with the saws performance.

This is a great heavy duty hole saw kit with almost every size you should need for a variety of jobs. Made by Milwaukee which are known for high quality tools, this set will last a lifetime and make clean holes thru wood, plastics, concrete and metals. It has hole sizes from 3/4” to 21/2”,has 2 sizes drill holders with an extra dill bit and included Allen wrench to change it. It stores neatly in a tough plastic case that is small enough to keep in a tool drawer or on the go situations. The rounded saws are a heavy duty metal with a white coating and are reinforced with another thick metal disc on the inside for further strength. The teeth on the saw are not just pointed like a shark fin but but have more of a little dip that seems to help prevent breaking of your intended item to be sawed. The saw holders that go into the drill are nice and heavy duty and for the sizes 1-1/2” up the drill holder or arbor rests into 2 holes for further strength and stability. It is made in the USA(with global materials) and is all packaged in a hard red plastic case. A great tool set from a great company.

I needed a good set of hole saws for cutting steel as well as wood. I do alot of crafting and wood projects. So I got this set to try out. I put it to the test today cutting stainless steel as well as soft woods and hard woods. MY old set or cheap set burns the wood every time I use it to cut holes so I got a better set. This set is alot better. The saw blades are marked on the side as well as on top, The small Arber mounts easy and the blade locks in tight after using it I had to chuck it up to hold it in place to remove the blade with a wrench it was so tight. Its a good thing keeps the blade stright when cutting. Then when using the lager size blades that arber is even better I really like the way the slide lock pegs work to lock the blade in tight. You just slide it up on down to lock or unlock the blades. This makes very fast blade changes possible. I cut a 1 1/8″ hole in the stainless steel very easy. Then I made a 1 1/2 in hole in pine wood then a piace of hard wood with out a problem. Then I really tested the 1 3/4 inch hole saw making a hole in black walnut that was 1 3/4″ thick. Had no problems on any one of them and did not burn the woods at all. The woods tend to dull the blades faster than steel but after cutting the hard woods the blade was just as sharp as if I just took it out of the box for the first time. Thay are well desigend with large clean out holes and that helps keep the blades cooler when using them. As well as making it easy to get the wood plugs out of the blades after cutting. This is the best set of holes saws I have had so far to date. Very well made they work great and came in a good case that keeps them all togother. Plus there is a exter drill bit in the case. I know you can buy cheaper sets I did but its going to be very hard to find better sets. All I need now is some sizes between the ones I have now to complete my sets so I can do anything between the standard sizes as well.

One great set for all types of materials and situations. Whether working in my DIY shop around the house or helping neighbors with jobs, I run into all types of materials. And I got tired of having to buy different size bits for different applications. The Milwaukee HOLE DOZER set has carbide teeth is ready for stainless steel, wood, cement board, fiberglass, PVC, just about anything you can throw at it. It comes with two sizes of arbors, for smaller and larger bits. For the larger arbor, it has two teeth that you can push into the holes on top of the bits for extreme torque and not have to worry about stripping the arbor. And in case you ever need it, it comes with a spare drill bit for the arbors. So far, I’ve used it with my ⅜” drill and my drill press, all with great results. Whether building bird houses, installing, plumbing, drilling holes in treated wood for galvanized rails on a deck, or running some nice neat holes for wiring, you’re set with this kit.

The Milwaukee “Hole Dozer” 16-piece Bi-Metal Hole Saw Set is a perfect starter set for a homeowner or craftsman. Eleven-hole saws are provided, 3/4 inch through 2 ½ inch size. The 1 ½ inch hole saw and larger uses a quick-change arbor which uses 2 pins to secure the hole saw. Just screw the selected hole saw all the way on the arbor with the sliding pins in the retracted. Next align the pins with the holes in the hole saw base and then slide the pins into the holes of the hole saw (see provided pictures). For hole saws 1 3/8 inch or smaller just a threaded arbor is used (no pins).Mounted on each arbor is a pilot drill bit that guides the hole saw teeth as they cut into the work piece. There is a spare drill bit and allen wrench provided with the set. The drill bit is held in place with a set screw. When you are cutting wood, after the hole saw cut is complete the hole saw has a large plug in it. Milwaukee provides large holes on the side of the hole saw for access to the plug so it can be removed. With a screwdriver or an awl.The tooth design on each hole saw is designed to keep the teeth from breaking when cutting hard materials. Each saw is also is coated with a Thermoset Coating to minimize friction when cutting the hole. The case is molded with plastic buttons that are the size of the arbor thread, so the individual hole saws are held in place during transport. Larger size hole saws can be purchased separately and work with the provided 2 pin arbor. This Hole Saw set could not be better. I highly recommend it.
