The hole saw installation kit was designed with accuracy and ease of use in mind, making it simple to align and drill holes in slab doors. The door lock installation kit is ideal for remodeling, replacing a damaged door or adding a deadbolt. The auto-centering guide and anti-splinter depth stop allow for centered holes with a clean finish every time. The hole saws feature RIP GUARD teeth built with more steel behind the cutting edge for added strength. The teeth give increased productivity on the job site and better hole quality. They are also backed by a limited lifetime tooth break warranty. Each HOLE DOZER is coated with a low friction, thermoset paint that provides a faster cutting speed in wood and more holes cut per battery charge. The hole saw kit comes with a Plug Jack featuring an all access slot design that allows for full access during plug removal. The Plug Jack enables access into the cup for both thick thin material removal, eliminating wasted downtime between holes. The versatile hole saw kit can be used on wood and metal interior and exterior doors that are between 1-3/8 in. to 1-3/4 in. thick.

I picked this door guide up to help me with enlarging the holes in metal doors for new door handles and dead bolts. This guide helped me to make sure I had the proper alignment and hole size for the new deadbolt and door handle mounts. Since holes existed in the door already the pilot bit wasn’t able to help me stabilize the hole saw like normal, but with careful drilling, the guide did help me stay in the correct location. If your drilling fresh holes in a door, this guide make the alignment process very simple. One thing to note, after drilling a few doors the pilot bit was stuck in the large door know hole saw and I was not able to loosen or remove it from that hole saw to use the narrow saw for the latch bolt holes. For time sake I ended up picking up a separate pilot bit and found it was cheaper to get one with the 1″ hole saw included rather than the pilot bit by itself.

This item was easy to set up and use for installing new door knobs on all my old doors. Just what you need. This made the job super easy. I recommend the Milwaukee over some of the other brands because not only was it easy to use it did the job accurately.

Tool worked great for 8 doors. One issue, the arbor bit stayed in the large hole saw, you will need a second arbor bit for the small hole saw. Could be operator error, but I could not remove the arbor bit from the large hole saw.

This was very useful guide and saw – i don’t belive it would work as a professional or for many repeats but for a DIY – few locks it is a good guide. It is very difficult to disengage the saw from the drill bit – and i had to use the dril bit from another set – one would need a vice to hold it to be able to disengage it. Oveall – it did help with the job – positioning the drill hole saws exactly where they needed to be and making the process as easy as possible. If one is carful it can be done without it but this is a “guranteed” placement and much cheaper than hiring someone to do it.

Worked well but thought it wouldn’t as it did not hold the hole saw as securely as I’d have liked (I was enlarging a smaller hole so there was no centered drill bit to hold the hole saw in place. The plastic frame had to do all the work and it was barely good enough… but it worked.)

I was enlarging an existing hole. Clamp did not hold tight against the door as the bit started to engage the wood. Clamp torqued out of position scarring nearby wood. I had to develop a slow plunging technique until bit create deep enough groove.
