Great bits, you can run the Milwaukee superhawg on high speed even with the 2 5/8s bit! The cutting blade doesn’t like nails so you need to keep an eye on the framing guys and driving nails between studs. All in all great bits!

Milwaukee switchblade, when they came up with this ideal it was a homerun. The bits bite into the wood great and with ease. They’re a true pleasure to use. They produce great holes with little tear out for how aggressive they’re for rough work. If you hit a nail while drilling and chip the blade it’s so nice that you’re able to change out the cutting edge in seconds. No more fighting it to drill or having to getva file and fix the nick in the cutting edge. With in a minute you are back up and running with little impact on the days production. If you want in your spare time you could toss it on a grinders and get it back to new, or if you don’t have the time for a few bucks just buy another edge and not have to buy the whole bit again. We all know how expensive self feed bits get

Best bits I’ve bought. Better than any hole saw but in my opinion. Rebuildable no clean out and fast cutting

This kit does offer a convenient assortment, 1-3/8, 1-1/2, 2-1/8, and 2-9/16” cutter, the most popular sizes for me. It also comes with an 5-1/2” long Quik-Loc extension. we saved over $15.00 by purchasing these as a kit, plus we got a very nice carrying case that keeps everything organized and protects the blades from getting damaged. It comes with one additional blade for each size and the replacement feed screws. The blades are easy to replace, an allen wrench that comes in the kit is all you need. We already purchased the M18 SUPER HAWG 1/2 in. Right Angle Drill Kit With Quik-Lok (Model # 2711-22HD, Internet #300437243) this drill has the power and torque to bore through any piece of wood. With the aggressive feed screw design I would not recommend using this with a regular drill. Everyone likes this drill/switch blades combo when drilling holes for plumbing or for running electric cable. It’s a real time saver.

These are excellent tools which are reasonably priced, and were delivered earlier than the predicted date. A winner all the way around.

This is the best set of bits and it has all the right sizes a plumber would need most. The ability to switch out the blade saves on having to get a new bit or having to get them re-sharpened. In just a minute of effort you can swap out the cheap replacement blade and get back to business.

I purchased a single bit a few years ago to run some conduit through the outside wall of my house and loved it so much that i have finally bought the entire kit. I don’t run a ton of conduit, but these bits work so well that they have become integral to my home improvement projects. I also love that they come with a hard shell case for storage. Makes it easy to throw them in my cabinet and have easy access later on.

Excellent set of bits. I should have bought this kit already but I’ve been holding off and still using my old style Milwaukee self-feeds…sharpening them when needed. Being able to change the cutting blade out on these new style bits means in the long run it’ll save my plumbing business money.

These switchblade bits are awesome for fast large diameter holes. They don’t require messing around with ejecting the plug like hole saws do, but they do make a pretty big mess by throwing large shavings everywhere. I was able to run these in a heavy duty 18V drill, but something like a hole hawg is probably a good idea if you’ll be using them a lot.The quick lock extension is easy to use, with the collar snapping into place as soon as they’re pushed together. To unluck, just slide the collar and pull part – you can stack as many extensions as you need if drilling through multiple studs – that will ensure a straight line for whatever pipe you’re running. The construction of these is top notch, with replaceable blades and pilot screws. The pilot screws are held in place with a set screw, but there’s also a through hole that the set screw sits in so you don’t have to worry about them slipping out.One final note – I saw some other reviews lamenting that these didn’t work well in a drill press. That’s not a shortcoming of the bits, it’s by design. The self feed screw advances the bit through the wood automatically so you don’t have to push as hard. If you use it in a drill press the screw and the drill press feed will be working against each other, and the workpiece will ultimately get torn up. Get an actual forstner bit if you want to drill large diameter holes in a drill press, not these.

The Milwaukee Switchblade kit is the new standard for drilling holes in my world. As a plumber we sometimes need to drill holes through floor joists to run drain lines, water lines, vent lines, etc. This kit is perfect for up to 2″ pipe. I use the smaller ones for eating though exsisting holes for a new hose faucet all the time. These things are self feeding and move quick and will destroy anything it seems. I love them! They have a super beefy shank too, I don’t think you’ll be snapping the shafts off ever!

The 5-Piece Plumbers Bit Set by Milwaukee is a great product with many nice features. This bit set is for boring holes in wood for installation of plumbing pipes. There are 4 sizes in this set 1-3/8 in., 1-1/2 in., 2-1/8 in. and 2-9/16 in which match up with standard OD sizes of plumbing pipes. These bits comes with replaceable blades (one set included) and have an aggressive feed screw post that pulls the cutting bit into the hole. This greatly reduces the “pushing” needed to drill a hole. These bit kit comes with a handy hard plastic carrying case. Also included is a 5 1/2 inch extension, the extra blades (one for each bit), 4 extra screw feed bits and a hex wrench to install the replacement parts. Also Milwaukee offers more replacement blades which are available on HD online. This set will last a long time and can always be sharp (with blade replacement) for even the hardest plumbing jobs.

These are amazing bits – very sharp and they cut very fast. These blow through 2x material much faster than I anticipated. I used my M18 1/2″ Hammer Drill/Driver and it powers all of these bits well with the exception of the largest one. It gets it through but does struggle some. The self-feed head sucks these through the wood and you don’t have to exert pressure, you just have to hold on.The set comes with an extra blade for each size and the quick release extender, spare set screws, and spare self-feed attachments. I’ve been very impressed with the case they come in. It’s very durable and heavy duty, holds the bits securely, and holds all the spare parts in an organized way. I keep this in one of my packout bags where the rest of the drill bits and drill bit cases are. Great kit for plumbers and renovators that need to run new plumbing lines through studs.

These auger bits make life so much easier! They are extra heavy duty, self feeding which takes most of the work out of drilling holes for pipe. The ability to replace the cutting blade and end screw tip is the best feature ever! Because you will hit a screw or nail and then your not left with a hole saw that is a chunk missing. They cut really clean like your using a hole saw. They come with a extra cutting blade and screw tip for each size. The carry case is extra heavy duty and has room for more cutting blade storage.
