The MILWAUKEE 9-Piece Annular Cutter Set features dual alternating tooth geometry and thin-wall construction to deliver up to 15% faster cutting than the competition. The 20% thinner walls displace less material for the same size hole, giving users fast, burr-free holes in anything from sheet metal to thick steel plate. Milwaukee’s proprietary high-speed steel with three hardness zones minimizes breakage and helps the bits last longer. Each cutter comes with a 3/4” Weldon shank, which is ideal for use with most small magnetic drill presses and large magnetic drill presses with the correct arbor. The kit includes 1/2 in., 9/16 in., 5/8 in., 11/16 in., 3/4 in., 13/16 in., 7/8 in., 15/16 in. and 1-1/16 in. cutters, two 2 in. pilot bits (centering pins) and a sturdy carrying case.

I’m very new the world of metal boring, but I would have to say these cutters made quick work of 3/8″ angle stock. I had a set of 4 brackets to make, with 3 holes each, and these bits ate through that steel very easily. And, it left behind a beautifully clean cut. I’m super happy with these. Now, in terms of how long they will last, only time will tell.
