the only problem with the blades is that they get dull quickly

I use blades like this for my oscillating multi-tool all the time trimming extrusions, door trim to allow for flooring and many other things. I also use MDF a for several of my projects so finding blades that will last is a plus. I thought I would try out this titanium blade out to see how it performs with the various materials I use. I am using a Craftsman oscillating tool and the blade is a universal fit but it doesn’t fit completely saddled on to the mount of the tool but it seemed to stay on and steady when I turned it on. I used it to cut some 3/4″ thick MDF trim at the top of a door frame, the blade is very sharp and the cutting went very quick and maintained a nice crisp clean edge. After making several cuts the blade has stayed very sharp even after cutting through some nails. I have only had the blade for a couple of weeks but it already has out performed others I have used. I used the blade to cut some dowels off of backside of some brackets I made to hold tools in my garage and the cut was rough but with a little sanding it turned out pretty good I am not sure I would use them to flush cut something very nice as it might leave some scratches. Overall I am very pleased with the performance of this blade for what they were designed for.

I really liked this blade. Besides having one with carbide teeth so it’s long-lasting I particularly liked that it is labeled “multi-material”. I find many of these blades look very similar so it’s easy to mix them up in the tool bag. I did note however that while packaging of the tool says “universal fit” I did have to use one of the adapters that came with my Makita multi-tool to allow easy removal during blade changeouts. While the blade will go on without the adapter there is interference which causes the blade to become stuck on requiring a tap to remove it when mounted without the Makita adapter (supplied by Makita and not this blade).

This is a great and very sharp general purpose blade. It snaps on to the universal mount on my brand of tool easily and quickly. I tried it on wood and it cut very easily, and was easy to control. I used it to cut PVC pipe, which I use a lot for irrigation projects, and it cut through it like it was butter. I can see myself using this blade often, for lots of different jobs.
