Sharp, aggressive, well-built. This Milwaukee 2-1/8 in. Carbide Hole Dozer Saw has sharp looks, aggressive carbide cutting teeth, and is rugged and well-built. This hole saw is painted white, but that’s not just for looks. The paint is a Thermoset Coating which reduces friction and drag while cutting all types of material. The carbide cutting teeth are supposed to be the longest lasting in the industry. I can’t speak to that, but they’re very sharp and along with the thermoset coating, it cuts through wood like a hot knife through butter. If you have ever used a hole saw in the past, then you know that sometimes the saw gets plugged up with the material that you were cutting. It can be a real bear to get out sometimes. Fortunately plug removal is easy with T-slots on the side of the hole saw.I really dig this Hole Dozer! It continues the fine tradition of quality Milwaukee products.Just be aware when buying this item, that you’re only getting the hole saw. The mandrill does not come with this item. That is purchased separately. I recommend purchasing a hole saw kit.

The 2-1/8 IN. CARBIDE HOLE DOZER SAW is an excellent hole saw and a welcome addition to the tool box for for both the Homeowner and the Professional. The 26 tooth blade is very sharp right out of the box and is very easy to use as it fits most all standard adapters that can be purchased at your local Home Depot store.. It can be used on a Drill Press as well as a Hand Held drill either corded or Battery powered. I highly recommend this product.eyedaddy.

I’m a beginner when it comes to using all the various woodworking tools, but I do know the Milwaukee is known for their quality tools. So when I have a small project and need a specific tool I turn to them. I was not disappointed in the MILWAUKEE 2-1/8 IN. CARBIDE HOLE DOZER SAW. I did have to purchase the 1/4 inch arbor for it to work in my drill, but that too is Milwaukee and is of good quality. I’m planning on using it to make holes in a 1×8 board so I can mount it and hang my garden tools through the holes. Right now I’m still getting the hang of drilling with this saw. Overall, this is a great tool.

The carbide hole dozer saw, (made by Milwaukee Tools) states that it will quickly cut through wood and several types of metal. My interest was in metal cutting. I’ve used the hole saw twice on light gauge metal and without a doubt, it performed flawlessly. The 2 1/8 saw cut perfect holes in the side of my barn. I made several cuts on this project and the saw, and I did not notice any heat buildup, so it appears that the Thermoset Coating actually does work. The carbide saw really is a great improvement over my bi-metal hole saw with this featureEven though there were several cuts in varying thickness of metal, it doesn’t appear to have dulled the blade at all.Note that that the package doesn’t include the arbor or the pilot bit, but it is still well worth the money for a hole saw that will cut as good as this one does.

This dozer saw is an excellent addition to my set. The size is great for many applications, especially cutting holes in plastic for the hydroponic gardening system I am constructing. I think there will be many times this size will come in handy. The saw cuts smoothly and quick and has a plug jack for easy removal of the plug. This is perfect for cutting holes for so many applications in wood, plastic, and metals like aluminum and stainless. The rip guard teeth are very sharp and they have a limited lifetime warranty. Milwaukee comes through again!

I have been a builder remodeler for 49 years, and as such I have many opportunities to use a tool like this Milwaukee 2-1/8 IN. CARBIDE HOLE DOZER SAW. These carbide hole saws are of high quality, and they work very well for work requiring drilling work into more challenging materials that we drill into as we often do. Milwaukee tools are always of high quality as well, so these are a very good example of that.

This review is for the Milwaukee 2-1/8 in. Carbide Hole Dozer Saw. This is only a hole saw so you will need to purchase an arbor and pilot bit for it if you don’t already have one. This hole saw has carbide teeth (four teeth per inch) to improve its’ durability and it can cut through a variety of materials. The cutting depth is 1.62 inches which allows you to cut through materials that are quite thick. There are slots to assist you in removing the material slugs. I have only used this hole saw to cut through a small piece of plywood and it made quick work of that project. I have not yet used it for any heavier projects but it seems like it will be up to any task around the shop. I would definitely recommend this hole saw.

I found the Milwaukee 2-1/8 inch carbide hole dozer saw has great cutting power. The large carbide cutters and the deep of one and a half inches makes the cutting job easy. It can be used on wood, plastic, aluminum, cement board or metal. These saws do a great job with nail embedded wood also. I used a Milwaukee arbor I already had. The hole dozer saw includes Plug Jack which are larger slots on both sides of the saw making removing the plug much easier and less time consuming. I expect to get many years of service life from this quality tool. The hole dozer saws come in twenty six different sizes from 7/8 to 6 inches in diameter. This cutter has a lifetime warranty against tooth breakage.

Easily cuts clean holes, and the slots make it easy to remove the cut-off core when done. I have several of these Milwaukee “Hole Dozer” saws in various sizes. The 2-1/8” size (Model 49-56-0722) is perfect for installing door locks. The interchangeable mandrel with pilot bit reduces the cost of owning different sizes, and this saw can be used with different kinds of mandrels, even from some different manufacturers. The hole size is engraved on the outside of the blade; it can be hard to see in typical lighting conditions but it’s never going to wipe off. I’ve purchased and used half-a-dozen different brands of hole saws and only one other brand even comes close to these Hole Dozers. You pay a bit more, but these are definitely worth it!

This hole saw worked great and I am really impressed with the carbide teeth. Really good quality hole saw and still really sharp after doing over 15 door installs and a lot of the doors had to have 2 holes done. The size is exactly what I needed it for and I did holes on a few metal front doors. It threaded on great to the pilot bit I got for it and never loosened up on me or rattled around or anything. I’m definitely going to get a lot of different uses for it. The carbide teeth I feel had great starting bite and it never danced around on me. It doesn’t get super stuck to the pilot bit either. Only one time I had a hole I cut out and the hole piece got pretty stuck in it but I did get it out. I really like these hole saws and look forward to getting it in there on many more projects and it definitely cuts smooth.

This is my second hole dozer saw in this size but the first one I had made a TON of cuts. These things last an incredibly long time especially if your just cutting through studs, drywall, and sheathing! The only complaint I have is that sometimes the saw gets stuck on the pilot screw and it takes some persuading with wrenches to get them apart, wish their could be an easier way to disconnect /reconnect different sizes.

This hole saw stands above and beyond all other hole saws I have every used. It is sharp and holds its edge better than any other. It cuts fast and with little effort compared to others. These hole saws are money and time savers with faster cuts and the ability to make more cuts before dulling. Due to its great design, removing cut out debris from the hole saw is much easier than any I have ever used. Great quality -exactly what I would expect from such a notable name brand. I highly recommend these hole saws!

Frankly speaking, I haven’t tried it on 1 inch metal plate, but used it heavily on wood with nails, abused it without stopping to cool through concrete, did even holes on tiles with it, cinder block, bricks. This one just keeps going and going without getting dull. I feel sorry I didn’t try it on granite countertop. I know it is not for the purpose, but it seems like it will eat it in no time and will ask for more. Toughest application I tried it was at half-speed at sheet metal and it didn’t make nice edges because I didn’t use high speed. It is very precise, durable and sturdy, 26 teeth of over inch and a half cutting depth is more than enough to drill through a garage firedoor, fiberglass front doors or metal plate doors. Grooves help a lot with reducing drag and managing friction heat. As always, it is another great top quality product from Milwaukee at the best possible price!

I’m a lot more impressed with this than I expected. I cut through a steel drum in seconds. Take a look at the video below. This is cutting through a 55 Gallon steel drum. It was effortless. The hole has no burrs or sharp edges, just a clean cut. What really impressed me was that the Dozer looked almost new after cutting through steel (See the photos). The paint was almost untouched. I think I’ll get a long life out if this one. The only drawback is that it requires a certain style of arbor. Home depot carries this type from Milwaukee, DeWalt and others. It’s a quick change arbor. It will certainly be the best arbor you’ve ever used. It sure is mine. This is designed for you to have the arbor and purchase the different sizes of hole saws you need for your projectsOverall, it’s a great product. I’m happy to have it in my shop. I should recommend this to my friends and family and I recommend it to you as well
