I had previously purchased one of these hole saws for my husband and after using it, he asked me to order a few more in different sizes. He says that they are great. They are tough, easy to set up and to remove. He has used plenty in the past that would get 3-4 uses and then dull so badly that they had to be tossed out. These seem to have much greater durability.

Hole Saw 5 inchThis is a sturdy and sharp circular hole saw that cuts a 5 inch hole. Mandril not included, but screwed on perfectly to a mandrel I already have. Carbide teeth should make it last a long time. It is deep enough (cutting depth over 1.6 inches). It has adequate slots around the side to make plug removal easy enough. I’m pretty happy with this 5 inch hole saw.

The four and a half inch hole Dozer says it all. This hole saw cuts through would like a hot knife through butter, and does the same thing going through metal. The wholesale will last a long time if used properly and kept lubricated while cutting in metal. When using a hole saw like this it is recommended to wear safety glasses and have proper safety equipment and training before using it.

I have used Milwaukee hole saws for so many things its hard to keep track. I like this hole saw particularly because it is much closer to a 2″ hole than a 2″ hole saw. Hole saws are very crude ways of cutting a hole and are never the exact size you need. This being just under 2″ makes fitting for a perfect 2″ hole so much easier. These are a great option when needing to cut holes. I have many of this brand that have cut many holes, they just keep going.

I used the saw with an arbor that I already had to cut a shower drain hole through 1/4″ Hardieboard plus 3/4″ plywood sub-floor. The carbide saw went through both layers relatively easy when compared to a bi-metal saw that just skimmed the surface. The Oatey drain fit perfectly in the 4-1/2″ hole. Home Depot had the best price and shipping was free and quick.

I use these hole saws all the time – I wish they didn’t cost so much. These saws are a mush for getting through the plate on a house and generally work very well. Carbide is ok I guess – I still haven’t had much luck with them if you hit into a nail or other metal object. They don’t seem to hold up as good as a carbide saw blade does. Still, a must have if your running pipes through the wall.

I replace a hole saw with the hole saw with Carbide teeth. It works great!. I just hope it lasts for a long time. I will be attempting to replace the hole saws I have with ones that are carbide teeth as I need from now on.

This one hole saw cost me half as much as a complete set of 10 dozer saws, which sadly did not contain this specific size
