The mystery of the set screw on the outside of this thing was first described in this forum 5 years ago, and has been the subject of reviews ever since. Eventually, 22 days ago, a Milwaukee representative responds with “We would like the opportunity to investigate your feedback further”! Really? If the fact that people are removing a set screw that should not be removed – because THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS otherwise – is not enough information, certainly the post by T_Soup 6 months ago (“How It Works, With Technical Info”) should make it very clear. Please, include instructions in the package and do something to prevent the set screw for the locking pin from being easily removed. This tool is nice, but Milwaukee seems to have slid far downhill – so 3 stars.

Expensive for a DIY, single use tool. But it worked well and I finished the job.

Bites into the wood almost too good! I used it with a 4″ hole saw and needed to grab the electric drill to finish. Easy bit and saw change too, so I’ll keep adding milwaukee drills and hole saws to my collection
