The set screw holding the bit in place was very tight. I didn’t want to break the Allen wrench in trying to remove it, but finally I applied a lot of force. The set screw did come loose.

The quick change system is one of the best I’ve seen so far. Much better than a standard arbor and better than some other brands that make you screw in the studs instead of just pushing it up in place. Worked great for drilling holes through a house wall for a new boiler exhaust pipe
