I needed a 3 5/8″ bit and the Milwaukee was the only one HD had. Ended up spending $42 for one bit and arbor. I wish HD carried the same bit for the Diablo arbor that I already had to buy previously.

If you are buying a whole saw to cut a certain diameter hole you’re going to need an arbor to mount the holesaw to the drill which holds a starting bit so that you can send her your holesaw over your work and this is what is required

I always put off buying this setup thinking it cost too much, I finally did needing a 6” hole. Wish I started off with this…. I would almost have the whole set buy now. They work great, cut fast and clean.

The quick change ARBOR worked well. It was easy to install and take off the hole saw. It has nice wide flats for the chuck teeth to grab. The 3 1/2″ HOLE DOZER I bought with it was a different story. I purchased both items to drill 4 holes in 1/8th” wall 2″ X 4″ mild steel tubing. It did NOT make it through the first cut before the teeth were gone. I used lots of cutting oil and a reduced speed due to the large diameter. The ARBOR lived up to my expectations of things labeled Milwaukee. Unfortunately, I can NOT say the same thing for the HOLE DOZER, it was a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT and a COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. Home Depot SHOULD let you review ALL items on your receipt, not just pick one for you. My old red hole saw bit with welded on arbor has been around for years and used on lots of projects, both wood and steel. It drilled the first 4 holes before finally wearing out, the new MILWAUKEE HOLE DOZER didn’t even make 1 hole of the 4 I had left to drill. That should tell you that my procedure was correct, and that the HOLE DOZER was either defective or that they are all JUNK. IF I could rate the HOLE DOZER it would be lucky to get a 1, but you can’t go any lower than that. I ended up getting a different hole saw from a competitor to complete my project. The ARBOR met my expectations, but unfortunately the HOLE DOZER did not, it was worthless and a total waste of money. The teeth didn’t break, but they didn’t stand up either. Breakage is the ONLY thing they warrant, since they have no control over the process and procedure you use. I used the proper procedure, but the product still failed almost immediately. That was a disappointment. Sorry Milwaukee, I can’t give you the favorable review on both products that I thought you would get before using the product. I haven’t reviewed the “winter gloves” purchased on a different visit, since I haven’t used them in the winter yet. I don’t like to review things before I use them, I won’t buy them in the first place if I think they are a poor product. ONLY time and use will tell.
