Designed with a robust 1/4 in. quick change hex shank, Milwaukee Shockwave Impact Duty Thin Wall Hole Saws give professionals a hole making solution to use with impact drivers. Utilizing a thin wall, 8 TPI design, Thin Wall Hole Saws deliver a burr-free cut up to 40% faster than standard bi-metal hole saws. The included ejection spring removes the frustration of manually removing slugs by automatically ejecting the material. A stop shoulder design prevents over-drilling into material and potentially damaging inner components of electrical and junction boxes. Chose Thin Wall Hole Saws for use in plastics and thin gauge metals up to 1/8 in. thick.

Do the job for 1000%. Just don’t forget to use some oil while using it.

I’ve done about 4 holes in steel electric boxes and several in plastic boxes with this saw. Way better than the other ones I’ve used. Keep the speed down by pulsing the the impact driver so it doesn’t overheat and lose the hardening if you are cutting steel. I’m using it on a Makita 1/4″ hex impact driver and it is shocking how fast it cuts. The spring to blow out the cut material helps but you still need to use the holes to pop the stuff out especially with plastic which seems to get gummy in almost all hole saws. Fantastic tool for me!

I have my weber grilled hooked to a hose connected to my house propane. I decided to put the spare tank under the grill and away from the garage. But the tank hole was where my hose exited. I decided to drill a 1 inch hole in the side of the grill to run the hose and to not disrupt the tank placement. Wow. For such thin metal, it was next to impossible to get solid drill bits through the side. I started with small bits and increased. I went to HD to get a 1 inch solid bit but there were $30 ish. Then I found this and remembered how well they work on door handle holes. This bit is for metal. It drifted at first since I already had a 1/2 inch hole (my bad). But to drill through the grill took maybe 10 seconds. The blade is super sharp and well made. Great product. I touched up the side hole with two inch PVC to keep the edges of the metal away from the gas hose, then painted all with flat black paint. Works great.

Only wish they had these in multiple sizes outside the 3 they offer

I used it to cut through 1/2″ inch steel which is way more than what it was designed for and it worked great. A couple of the teeth broke off and still cut through the steel with no problem. If you use it for what it is intended, which is aluminum boxes for electrical, then it should last.

Very effective to drill through copper garden pot for draining.

Awesome

The hole saw works great but after two holes the spring doesn’t work properly making it difficult to remove the knockout. Also very difficult to replace drill bit after it gets dull or breaks.

cut thru stainless sink top like butter

Easy to use, sharp, and balanced well enough to use without center drill.
