Its anti-rust, stainless steel spring-loaded design makes this the most durable 2-in-1 socket with hands-free changes. The 12 point design fits both hex and square hardware for increased versatility. A 7/16 in. to 1/2 in. and 1/4 in. to ½” impact adapters are included.

Milwaukee has answered a request by electrical lines men. That being to make it easier & lighter for our tool bags. The amazing thing with these Sockwave Sockets it’s acceptance by the Heavy Equipment Mechanics. I was impressed with these 6 sockets covering the sizes from 3/8 of an inch all the way up to 1 1/8 of an inch. These are all 12-point sockets that cover 2 sizes for each socket. The inner, smaller size is spring loaded, which allows access to the larger size by just pushing a little harder to access the larger size. You’ll also notice in the picture that all off the sockets in the blow molded plastic case are deep well sockets. All sockets are 1/2-inch drive. Included in the kit are 4 – 1/4-inch hex drive adapters 2 of which have drive shanks that are almost double the size of standard 1/4 hex to half inch adapters. I will agree there is limited need for these sockets for automotive mechanics, who work on vehicle with the engines installed. However even automotive machine shops will appreciate the dual size options of these sockets. As for the strength of these sockets I loaned this set to a Heavy Equipment mechanic. He works on the road doing service calls, so cutting down what he has to carries is important to him. He returned singing the praises of these sockets for their strength. I know for a fact he uses 3/4- and 1-inch drive impacts most of his day, he would not admit to using these sockets with that type of load behind them. He did however log on to Milwaukee looking for even larger sets. There is absolutely no reason to think these sockets are only for Linesmen. The applications I have put these sockets to I have found there only limitation is in their actual barrel size for truck engine spaces. They are definitely built for Heavy Duty use and they live up to what you would expect for heavy use applications.

Just received our MILWAUKEE SHOCKWAVE LINEMAN’S DRIVE SOCKET SET – all we can say is WOW – or should we say MILWAUKEE – this set really delivers – it comes in a beautiful bright red MILWAUKEE storage case, which has sliding latches, which are more durable – the design of these sockets fits hex and square items – includes hex key and adapters which adds versatility – these sockets increase our ability to work on different equipment and the ease of changing sockets is a very smooth process – but what do you expect from MILWAUKEE – only the best – highly recommend this set

Space is critical now more than ever. With this 2-in-1 kit, you’ll have twice the sizes in one small space. It’s great for the overcrowded bucket truck or any work truck or tool box. This kit already has the ½ to 7/16 adapters and ½ to ¼ adapters. The ¼” adapter isn’t meant to give you the same strength as a ½” or 7/16”, but it’s handy to have when spinning off or on an already loosened faster. Now there’s another use for your ¼” impact. So, if you were wondering how to make these tools work together, it’s all right here in one neat kit. It all comes in one hard plastic case, keeping everything together and organized. The sockets are spring loaded with stainless steel springs, so they won’t rust on you. This is one of the handiest things I’ve seen in a while. And yes, with the 12-point design, it will fit the 15/16” and 1-1/8” square or hex. The sockets have the pin detent holes, so yes they’ll stay in place on your pin detent tools.
