This is a pretty large HEPA filter as HEPA filters go. Most of the ones you find in vacuum cleaners are too small to be effective. And $20 for a HEPA filter is cheap. Mine came with the Milwaukee job-site wet vac, which I find to be very useful for the work I do.My issue with this filter is in the false advertising that it “does not have to be changed between wet and dry use.” However the instruction manual says to remove the filter for wet vacuuming. Furthermore, I found that just a few drops of liquid can ruin the filter and stop air flow. Customer Service at Milwaukee confirms this and sent me a replacement filter.Of course, I would recommend it to a friend because you have no other choice if you own the associated Milwaukee M18 wet vac.Here is a little secret I discovered. If you buy the aftermarket extensions and floor attachments available at most hardware stores, the Milwaukee M18, portable, wet, vacuum cleaner blows the doors of the Dyson V11 animal, my wife bought for almost twice the price.

I wish that Milwaukee had a filter that you could wash because these filters are expensive thus the loss of a star. I will be trying to clean the filter by blowing out with air due to the cost. The only reason I purchased an extra one was that it was $5.00 off on the Black friday sales and I would not be buying one at the normal price. However I do like the use of a Hepa filter to eliminate dust and other contaminants from coming out of the vacuum’s exhaust. Milwaukee please lower the price on this filter otherwise the vacuum is not cost effective to use compared to other plug in vac’s I have. I also wish I had known this filter was not able to be cleaned and so costly before I purchased the vacuum.
