I received the 14″ Milwaukee diamond blade two weeks ago and put it to work right away on my chop saw. First I made 36 cuts in 1/4″ angle iron for a project I’m welding for my garage cut like butter. Next rebar for a sidewalk and driveway concrete job flew through it. So next I tried something with the blade in my handheld” gas 73 cc. saw, At a slow RPM I cut a small piece of beam I needed for a header over a patio door went through it no problem. While the blade was still in my saw I cut some corrugated siding to repair my shed, this blade is a workhorse and I’m not changing the cutting disc all the time like before, and looking at the wear on the blade is nothing. I have used diamond blades before for concrete and brick but never on metal I have to say I’m very pleased with the outcome this should last a long time.

Steelhead Diamond Cut Off Blade is effective cutting black pipe, rebar, stainless steel, and copper tubing, but it expels sparks expected from cutting using tools without a safety guard. It meets my expectation and has a long lasting life because I let it cools during use in order to save the blades life.

This Milwaukee 14” Steelhead diamond cutoff blade works very well on the various metals I used it on.I cut aluminum 6061 stock and it cut like butter, very easily. I cut numerous cuts of steel basically cold roll stock and re bar 3, 4 and it cuts very good leaving very small burrs. The best thing is that after cutting a substantial amount of material you still have the full 14” blade that allows you to continue cutting with the full depth of a 14 inch blade compared to the using a aluminum oxide blade that wears away the blade and after several cuts your cutting depth has severely diminished. The next big factor to consider is the smell which I would presume is toxic fumes that become airborne while cutting with aluminum oxide blades especially in shops.This is a dry cutting steel / aluminum cutting blade and should NOT be used for cutting any type of concrete or masonry material.Another item for consideration, and I really liked about the blade is it is much safer than abrasive oxide cut off blades. There is less chance for a blade coming apart. Please use all protective clothing and guards to prevent injuries.Make sure you look for the rotation arrows as the saw pictured has to have the blade mounted in reverse for correct rotation.

I’ve been using this Milwaukee 14″ Steelhead blade in my chop saw for a month or so, mostly cutting conduit, strut and threaded rod, and have been very happy with it’s performance. Cuts are definitely both a good bit quicker and noticeably cleaner over your standard abrasive blade. The performance is great, but the real seller here is the cutting lifespan of these Steelhead blades, and the savings both in the cost over the dozens of abrasive blades that you’d go through in the span that just one of these will last, and in the hassle of always having a stack of those abrasive blades handy. Even if you don’t see quite the 75x longer life quoted, at even $10 for a cheap abrasive blade locally, it’s not difficult to do the math.These are available in 4″, 4-1/2″, 5″, 6″, 7″, 12″ and 14″ diameters. I plan on grabbing one for each of my angle grinders. Give ’em a try!

The Milwaukee 4 inch steel head diamond cut-off blade works very good and is quick to cut material. I use it when I am working on steel material projects. I found that the blade lasts longer than the standard abrasive wheels and cut much quicker. They are designed to be used dry which makes it easier to cut in more places. It is rated for up to 15,000 rpm.

I just got this blade and I’ve been using it to cut black iron pipe and galvanized steel pipe. It does the job fast and makes a smooth and clean cut. I have not noticed any difference from the first cut through cut number 50 or so. It seems to be cutting as well now as it did on the first cut. One nice thing is that the blade is returnable in 90 days so you’ll have the opportunity to return it if you find it does not meet your needs.If it keeps cutting the way it has it will be a great value.

I picked up this blade to help with some remodel work. I used it to cut corrugated tin and around some cutouts and edges. The blade is very strong and sharp. The edges of the cut are fairly smooth and after running a metal file over the edge it was perfectly smooth. The blade lasted for my project, but I only used it for about 10ft of cutting. It didn’t look worn so I can use it again on the next project.

I recently bought a truckload of pallet racks at auction to use in our shop to store parts and building materials. The racking is 12′ tall and part of the area I needed it for is under the loft, which is 10′ tall. I got the Milwaukee 14″ cut off blade for my chop saw and find that it cuts very fast through the uprights that are 3/8″ steel. It produces far less heat than standard aluminum oxide blades and so far has made short work of the task of cutting the 16 uprights I have modified so far. The blade has remained sharp throughout the whole process. By this point I would have expected to have used 3 or 4 regular cut off blades. The cost is a lot greater than the regular blades but cuts faster, cooler, and stays sharper much longer. It is a very good product for what I needed and exceeds my expectations.

It is durable and suppose to give up to 75 times the life of the standard abrasive wheel. it is available in sizes from 4 inches to 14 inches. I got this 5″ Milwaukee Steelhead metal/stainless blade for several projects around my house. I needed a blade that could cut many different metals and this fit the bill. Some important notes:1. It does come with an insert so it can be used with both 5/8″ & 7/8″ arbor sizes2. It’s for metal only3. Make sure you mount the blade with the correct rotation direction4. It can be used up to 12.000 max RPM5. You’ll need to discard the blade if dropped, cracked, chipped or FROZEN… so it’s not good to leave it in the truck in freezing temps or in an unheated garage or shed.6. While cutting it doesn’t have a chemical smell like the cheaper wheels.7. The blade keeps it’s size as you use it, unlike the cheaper cutoff blades that get smaller & smallerIt’s been used to cut angle iron, metal pipe, copper pipe, rebar, threaded rod and a rusted pad lock that the key wouldn’t work. still cuts like new.

I received this cut of wheel very interested in its durability and longevity vs. the standard cut off wheels. I tested it on some steel mower blades and it did a decent job. I found it to have less precision vs. the regular cut off wheels may be do in part to the weight of the cut off wheel. I haven’t yet tried it on any heavy duty cuts yet but I have a feeling that is where this wheel will shine on steel bar etc.

This is an awesome cutoff blade. I have used about every sort of blade on my 4 1/2 inch grinder, for grinding, polishing, wire brushing, cutting etc, I used this blade on about every kind of metal I could find in my shop and it cut, quick, clean, effeciently, and didn’t leave sharp surfaces.I tried it both dry and with a little water sprayed on and it seemed to cut about the same either way. Just a little messier with the water.

I will say this is a very good investment. I tend to use quite a bit of traditional cut off wheels and i decided to give this a try. I can easily say this last 75+ times better than any other wheel I have used. you also dont need to worry about blades splitting, or blowing up on you. It cuts steal like butter and even cuts SS easy. I would highly recommend these blades if you are in the industry and you can defiantly cost and safety savings

Installed in my Dewalt sliding miter saw, this 12-inch Milwaukee Steelhead Cut-off Blade made short work of cutting lengths of 1-1/4-inch aluminum structural angle. This blade is versatile in that it is capable of cutting many different type of metals. The diamond grit runs along the outer rim of the segmented cutting edge. The blade cut well, with no deflection, and without destroying the cutting edge, but produced a lot of sparks and left burrs behind. The cost of this blade is significantly higher than abrasive cut-off wheels, but this blade cuts better and promises to last longer than 75 standard abrasive blades. I’m planning to pick this blade up in the 4-1/2-inch size for my angle grinder.

I use this blade on my name brand right angle grinder. It fits very well, and cuts better than I ever thought a metal blade could!! I have used disposable thin kerf metal cutting blades for my whole life. They’ve always worked well for me, and they are fairly economical. I saw this blade, and figured I’d give it a try. All I can say is “wow”!!! It cuts through ferrous metal effortlessly, and works like a champ on stainless. Wish I had tried this blade sooner!!

Great cutting tool for cinder block on a 12 inch chop saw. Also used to cut 12x12x2 cement paversthe blade is strong and has lots of embedded abrasive, The 12 inch has a large enough circumference that it helps the blade cool. I took it very slowly and it cuts like butter. I plan to use on tile in the future.The blade seems to have good life after 30 cuts it seemed like new.

Always follow manufacturers directions use all safety guards and PPE. As a plumber, I frequently need to cut out cast iron pipe to make repairs or modifications. In the past I’ve used diamond blades that are not designed for cutting metal because the composite blades just disintegrate too fast.I was really happy to hear that someone finally makes a blade similar to a diamond blade that is designed specifically for cutting metals.I used it today on a 130 year old Extra Heavy cast iron pipe. It worked perfectly. After making several cuts that would have consumed several composite blades the SteelHead blade continued to cut like new. I really had low expectations because this blade is much thinner than the diamond blades I ordinarily use. I’ve been quite surprised. I fully intend to continue using these blades. They’re awesome.

This Milwaukee 7 inch Diamond Cutoff Blade is ideal for cutting metals including pipe, steel studs, angle iron, all thread, stainless steel and copper pipe. The package says it has up to 75 times longer life whatever that means. I don’t see how that could be possible, however after making a few cuts with it, it appears to be sturdy. Also, it cut much faster than other metal blades that I have owned.
